This is the tut posted on ps2nfo
Quote: v0.43 Tutorial:
- format your ms; save any files you need/want
- download DevHook v0.43
- copy the contents MS_ROOT found in the archive to your ms
- use PBPUnpacker to obtain the data.psar from a 2.6 EBOOT.PBP file
-copy data.psar to the root of you MS
-launch the FW installer from your MS and wait untill it finishes
-obtain a 2.6 FW reboot.bin decrypted
-copy the reboot.bin you just obtained to \dh\260\
-if you can not get it to work you can try changing the preload address (PL-ADDT) from 0x89000000 to 0x88E00000 (the first option in the preload address list); if you still have problems try selecting different options from the preload address list;
-you're ready to go
I'm just wondering about steps 4-8 I guess this is only necessary for those who don't have 2.6fw already right? I thought that package included the fw. My download of devhook works just fine without the need for those steps mentioned.

yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present.

Okay guys im having difficulty once again! I deleted the old devhook files in PSP/GAME and replaced with the new ones, then i went to the root of the mem stick and deleted the dh folder and again replaced with the ones. I then initialized the firmware installer and all run smoothly. So then i try to launch my Juiced ISO which i know is 2.6 but the psp just switches off! i know its not the ISO because when using with 0.42 it got to the loading screen but froze
Here are my settings
UMD select: ( i select the Juiced ISO)
UMD Mount: ISO ANYUMD
UMD Version: 2.xx ->2.00
Firmware: 2.6
CPU Clock: 333mhz/166mhz
Boot select: eeboot XMB
Preload Address: 0x89000000
Help would be much appreciated guys!
Thanks!

Hiya matem, got it working now, used the ChaosZero package and it works like a charm!! should have done a bit of research! anyway,m i have been trying to play daxter with this and i am having no luck, the launcher rebbots the consle like usual, however it loads up with "the game could not be started" message, i can play it on using DAX, but the ISO that uses that is 800MB! I have an un-touched ISO that i am trying to play that is 411MB and would much rather use this one bit it sull gives me the sam error message!?

What settings are you using?
Try setting the preload address to 0X88E00000

Also incase you guys didnt know chaos has released a version 3 that addresses many bugs in previous versions. Such as a non working home button, and freezing at intermittent times.

I see I'm popular over here too... ;)
Looks like some took my name though.
Anyways. Glad I could help guys.
My 0.44 packs have also been released.
My newer packs also have an option for a Custom Version, or a Stock version.

DevHook can emulate other firmwares (including firmware 2.71). So you just run DevHook on a firmware 1.5 PSP and then your PSP goes into firmware 2.71. But when you reset it, it goes back to firmware 1.5. So the firmware 2.71 is actually running on top of firmware 1.5. Hence it is called firmware emulation
