Umm.
Well you can run new UMDs, new ISOs, and new game demos released by SOny.

lol thats good enought for me, i was wondering y dont they just try to crack the new firware to play trhe game or y cant u make a patch for the game?I would tryall this but imma kinda new to all this programing sh*t

Well...to crack a new firmware, you need to find a bug/hole in Sony's security. That is much harder than decrypting a firmware :)
Also, it is much easier now, because you dont have to patch any ISO (theoretically), it will work untouched in DevHook.

Yeah, and unlike firmware 2.6, you can save the RSS feeds to your memory stick.
You also have Flash support in the browser.

I have devhook .44 running 2.6 and 2.71FW
All features work, AS Long as the firmware dump came from an enabled 2.71, or from PS2NFO.com :-p

I have connected to PSP Hacks - but did not see any flash, but when i try and Enable the Flash player - the PSP states proudly that it is enabled. Im gonna go get some flash games from PSPBrew.com and test it fully.
-Caution- My tag of Newbie does not allow for speedy responses...

Just b/c it shows it is enabled doesn't mean that it will work.

Try using the custom setting when you set up the network connection
EDIT: Why dont u download it and put it on to your memory stick and run it from there?
No internet connection is required for that.

Ok, found the problem, When i saved my network settings it failed to write the setting to the memory card. it corrupted the network files instead (Doh!) Just recopying the FW across now.
Its just playing silly buggers now. Might be a fix out for network stability - maybe
Can definatly confirm wma is working though.
EDIT- Ok i found the problem file, its Flash1-->net-->http-->AUTH
The crafty little bugger. Still trying to "Fix" it now. (it wont let the browser boot)

Ok, got the file working again. Booted the browser. Booted the Game (no need for network like you mentioned) umm partial success. i cannot see how to "start" the game. But it IS A Flash object.
Gonna look for a few more. Give us 5 mins
EDIT just got tetris.swf from http://www.pspbrew.com/index.php?page=downloads&cid=6320&t=fileIn...
erm, its a resounding failure. It cannot play that file type. I am now mega confuddled and gonna check my FW dump. Hope i have helped, even if its to say that i can't play Flash Games on 2.71
