LOL You know, I made a fake web page to make fun of Psix and showed it to one of the members there. The girl in the pic had the same Censored out eyes and the dude said it reminded him of a horror movie; it actually scared him. Or gave him the chills. Funny. :)

good to see you guys :). guano, your sig looks very strange....but i like it. @all I learned alot on wikipedia today. CRC checks are B?tches. That crap is really hard to understand, so im sticking on making the flash file. Heres something funny, though. I emulated 2.7 and played one of my first files just to see if i could load homebrew. It corrupted my memory stick, so i had to format it LOL. When i went back to 1.5, the swf had corrupted every homebrew app i had on my psp. I really messed up there, but ill keep trying. One things certain, though IM NOT TOUCHING MY BIOS with that thing:D.
Has anyone else tried loading a flash file to their psp that didnt screw there memory stick?

Wow...... I just spent the last 10 minutes reading this forum... gotta say not much use. in fact probably the biggest waste of time. oh well, no use in getting all mad. i've tried searching for exploits in the browser, no luck 5 weeks. By the way, is it possible to program the PSP using C#? thats the language i know best. Kazangwa, if you need help or resources e-mail me at arconn.corp@Gmail.com. you have my support only because i need to downgrade. PSP is so gay without homebrew. i upgraded to 2.70 thinking i could run flash games and applications but its way too slow to do anything. sony can s*ck my balls

if kaz, you know what ur doing i think u deserve support from all of us but if not then stop wasting ur time...no!.. really;)

Dunno. Because this new idea doesn't use the kernel access, it probably wouldn't matter which mother board you had, so unless you have higher than 2.71, you're probably fine. Also @Arconn27, you are totally right, sony can @#$% both of our balz. :)

A Currupt Eboot update (Edit the PARAM.SFO update version of 1.50 so it says somthing higher than 2.71 like 3.0 ) can be used to start an update, then you can turn your psp off while the update is booting (turn it off by pressing the power button continuously when the white PSP screen comes up untill it turns off) then swap the memory stick with another memory stick (one that has 1.50 update on it) and the update screen comes up. but when you press start it says the installed version is later than the update. i dunno. i work as far as i could with this. mabe some amazingly smart dude can use this as a possible downgrader.

Yeah, I've discovered that already, and also tried to make the 1.50 update look like the update that that I launched that was corrupted, but that breaks the encryption, so there's really not much of a possiblity that this will work.

not too much, anatomic is still trying to find resources to get a 2.70 firmware dump they're hecka hard to find. if anyone on afterdawn has been able to dump 2.70, we really need those files! any help is much appreciated as always, but since the recent discovery of launching homebrew on an emulated 2.71, that's really good progress. that can probably be incorporated in homebrew on 2.71.

a 2.7 dump is a decripted version of firmware 2.70 taken off of the flash memory of a psp using both 1.5 PSP and 2.7 PSP.
=> by the way kaz, i found a firmware dump of 2.71 somewhere on QJ when i was browsing if you can use that instead of 2.70.
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
i do have one question about your need for 2.70 dump. what do you need it for?

Sorry to be the ass again, but cmon folks, this is nothing but a fairy tale, give it a rest. I praise your efforts, but honestly, you are not going to crack the firmware. But if you do, I will send you c coupon for a free crispy creme donut, because you will deserve it.

if you get devhook .43+ you should get a firmware dumper (and instructions) then use dark_alex's decrypter to get the files.
