@svstang, the downgrader is going a little slow. Antomic is on vacation but he's been working on some .swfs and he said this next one felt promising, but we still need a way to access the bios, which i'm not sure flash can do. also @hunter, that's not tru the link gives a 404 error meaning the page isn't found. Also, since i've seen the thread about a 2.7 loading the place where the cheat device is, meaning the time, i think you could standby the PSP right as it loaded the actual save, and swap sticks and turn it back on. If you got lucky and it went to the homebrew menu, then you could run the 2.5/2.6 downdater, granted you don't have a TA-082, which I don't have. I really hope this works, i'll try it soon, but my friend's actually playing Burnout on my PSP, it's a really hard crash level.

A text loader! incase you didnt get my email, i was able to make the swf file open a text file on the memory stick. However, if the file is too big, the psp runs out of memory. I did it! One small stepfor us. I'm having doubts about a downgrader,though. I think it will be an eboot loader if someone can make the swf run eboots, that is. The text file has to be named text.txt and has to be put in psp/game. Thats what i made so far in the past week. When this is finished, i will give you a link. It wasnt too hard, either.

hmmmmmm it does sound a good idea but im sure you wont be able to do this with flash action script as i have some experience with it and im sure you wont be able to do anythign like that and anyway im sure sony would of thought of this if it is possible as it is very obvious and they would of stopped it loading action scipt like that so i highly doubt this iwill work but i could be wrong

The text.swf file has been made already, meaning you could probably compile some kind of code like written in the overflow.tif!!! if that would run... we'd have liftoff. meaning we could probably run a 1.50 update, or it could run the tiff loader maybe. I dunno does anyone know what the coding was in the image exploit?

sorry to be a pain guys but theres too much readin here, all i wanna know is does the 2.7 downgrader work now and also is there one for a 2.5, ive got a friend comin over and im buyin his psp but not sure what version it is, and i dont wanna hand my money over then brick the damn thing.

no downgrader...yet! but a swf file that opens (well, some)text files from the memory stick! But, please dont expect a downgrader for a while. Alot has to be learned, and i mean ALOT!!!!. And, GTAUK, you are right! But ive seen some outstanding trojans, viruses, and malware that do some amazing things (terrible things) to computers that run the flash file....thats how i almost lost my laptop. A flash file loaded a trojan on my laptop and erased all the vital programs....resulting in A portable brick. Luckily, i was able to run the restore discs. One difference is that a psp is not the same as a computer, so things must be made differently. Its like a car and a bike....two entirely different things...
PS..Kaz, if you get the overflow file, send it to me. I will test it.
EDIT: Nevermind, that has been patched....That sucks!

maybe. i dont see why, since the 2.71 firmware hasnt been cracked yet. i think sonys just making media patches like they did in version 2.6 (wma, rss, that stuff).

thanks ipirate. I like yours too! the skull is very cool. oops, i didnt quote it exactly.Id like to thank svtstang too. I started working on this believing that we would get a downgrader just like *BOOM*, but he showed me that you cant just have high goals. You really gotta learn about the psp before diving right into it. Well, i took his advice. a text viewer may be a small step, but it shows that me and kaz are making some progress. heck, if we dont get this downgrader, i know someone else will pick up from where we left off. (hopefully we make the downgrader, though :).)
