Yeah it can be dangerous but the creator of x-flash made it very hard to brick your psp with this program. I have used this exact one to flash custom gameboots, custom sounds, custom background, and custom fonts.

is it safe to play about with the 2.71 firmware that you are going to emulate with devhook, say i put in a large gameboot,would it cause any harm to my original 1.5 fw? :)

No it wont hurt your psp. I thought of that the first second I was originally downloading devhook. Now i have a hack n slash gameboot from PoP and custom fonts on my psp that runs devhook .44. I dont know why you would want a "large" one then it just takes longer to get to the games. If u want I can send you the gameboot I use and you can try it out. Im sendin your part out today too hodgins :)

well i have a few including the slash and blood one thanks, i think the gameboot will just stop when it needs, to, as the gameboot that comes with chaos zero package is quite a bit longer than it actually shows. and thanks for that part :)

Yeah youre right on that I use to have the bleach gameboot and it would stop at a different spot each time.

well my theory didnt work, when i put my gameboot there and because its too big it didnt work, but i deleted the original one, but it still played but with no sound mmmmmmmmmmm strange lol

I think that maybe if it's too big it wont play the sound. Dont know tho becuz I use to have that big bleach one like I said earlier and it played just fine. Ima stick like a 2 megabyte one in mine and see what happens.

Well u can use any .pmf from any game. I dont think there is a shrinker for these .pmf files tho.

yeah i looked at it before to see of any news of a shrinker etc. no luck though :( ill just wait and see if theres a cool one under 2.5 mb with the new fats and the furious game :D
