psp lcd removal

i ran into this problem while trying to install a new lcd scren in my psp. it doesnt seem like i can prop open the lcd screen...ive tried all the method i can think of such as using a knife to prop open the screen from the side but it doesnt seem like its coming off and im afraid if i apply excessive force it'll break..help!

on ur guide it says that im suppose to pry the 4 tabs on the side, i tried that and it doesnt seem to do anything

actually i think im suppose to only pry it after i get the screen out which is where im stuck at and i think i bent the metal under the screen when i used some force..frustrating!!

come in from the side and just work on one side, i found the left side is the best , put your screwdriver in the side of the tab thing , and push in and up :)

yeah im doing that now from the left side but the screen is still stuck inplace wouldnt budge, perhaps i should add some force to prop it up

you can watch this i made this video trying to help hodgins get his out. fast forward to about 50 seconds...it might help. the quality sux cuz i used my picture camera which can record videos also.

The first time is kinda hard but after you do one you're practically an expert. You dont forget how to do it, so each time you take one out u only get better and better.
@0ni
Keep upward pressure on the side of the LCD with ur hand so it doesnt fall back into place. Pry Out and up where the tabs are. Once u get one the right side out u can move it over slightly so the tabs dont catch on the left side. Then you pull it up just like i did in the video. Ima get a vid cam here soon and I'll redo the video so it's better quality.

I do not but I can always make one. I gotta swap mobo's on a bricked psp that should be here tomorrow. I think I sent you that acrobat guide I have and that's the one I learned from. Although it can be vague in spots.

@ oni, i know how you fel i couldnt do it for ages, i was asking hex all the time for help lol, just give it a bit of force to opo the tabs out and youre in the clear :)

oh btw, is there a differance if my psp is from taiwan? i just thought the removal process might be a bit different if its not european or american
