I have been using TMPGEnc to convert avis to VCD. But just about all the VCDs are cut off on the bottom so only the top half of the subtitles show and I can't read them. I put it for full screen keep aspect ratio and set it for the 352x240 and 4.3 and all that how can I fix this? I have burned several CDs and encoded them several times and it still keeps doing it! Thanks.

i am a newbie here and i have a similar problem, a little of the border surrounding the perimeter of the whole screen is cropped. i noticed this when my menu screen seemed to be a little smaller than what the "preview menu screen" on my nero burner described. if someone can help figure this out, it would really help.

p.s. for all of those who might have thought this reply was the solution at first sight, my apologies.

Previews on PCs often differ from what you see on the TV due to the fact that many TVs (in-particular the non-flat screen variety) will crop the outer edges of the screen. Several video editors (like Premiere, AfterEffects, Vegas) offer a 'safe area' function which displays a border around the video image being edited. This is to assist in video placement so that the important parts of the image is displayed on all TV sets.

Don't stick your subs too far down the screen.

Rgds,
jnihil.
