Yes you can because they are both made for the same purpose, to play music where as the PSP is used as a general media center rather than a music player.
Firmware - 1.0 > 1.5 > 2.0 > 2.5 > 2.6 > 1.5 > 2.6 > 1.5

Bose is the best sound quality. I have 10 tiny speakers and a subwoofer and if has the sound quality of a movie theatre even at 60% volume

Yeah thats what i am saying BOSE is top notch ipod is not even near it even if u use it with amplified speakers all it can do is store large amount of music and stuff!

I dropped my PSP in water...should I trade my fried psp for an ipod photo 20 GB? I have to pay an additional 90$ US (I will push to make it canadian)! I ask because I was thinking of selling the ipod and buying another PSP (used).
The true answer I am looking for is how much can I sell it for? (I want to push the price to the maximum limit)
If I insult you...don't get offended...my insults are "friendly insults"...I know this sounds stupid (ridiculous) but I am fet up of writing, "no offense" in my posts...

HEH do make me laugh the PSP is a obvious winner for the following

I think that things will change when the new ipod can play true video games because of their partnership with nvidia! I DO think apple will win then because it will be just like a PSP but with say a 30 GB HDD!
Not to mention the north american psp does not have nice finishes. It has a few physical damages or scratches (as minor as they may be) unlike Ipod's. You know why? Apple is trying to rise up against others such as microsoft so, they have to do it perfect....I hope if they one day become richer (as unlikely as it may be) that they will not stop caring about their product's finishes!

You CAN compare the Ipod and the PSP!! All of you say you can't but you can! They are both handheld entertainment devices! You can compare the PSP and Ipod with anything that is a handheld including pocket pc's and palms! They each have their own capabilities while mp3 capability is supported on all the devices! So...bassically, comparing all these devices is like comparing yourself to a step brother (instead of a brother)!
If I insult you...don't get offended...my insults are "friendly insults"...I know this sounds stupid (ridiculous) but I am fet up of writing, "no offense" in my posts...

Lets take that phrase and lets say this thread was named PSP versus the PC.
They both can play games,surf the web,play music and videos but which is better?? There is NO answer. Some may say PC and others will argue PSP but there designed for different purposes (like the iPod and PSP).
They are designed to be used differently but can do the same things.
And lets not forget on the Bose to iPod comparison. Can you Bose speakers sync to iTunes?? NO and they NEVER WILL!!! Comparing the iPod to Bose speakers has to be the stupidest comparison ever. They ARE totally different.

PC cannot be compared to PSP! However a laptop that fits in ur pocket CAN be compared to ur psp! Get what im saying? Anything handheld can be compared! PC's are not handheld's.

That wasn't what I was getting at. They are used for the sole purpose of music unlike the PSP which has many other functions.

Dude you totally didnt get what my post was supposed to get through to the reader. I was trying to make the point of how idiotic this thread is. You CAN NOT compare a PSP to a iPod!!! Yeah they can do some of the same stuff just like a PC AND PSP!! I wasnt trying to compare a PSP and PC I was trying to make a statement about this thread.

PSP is better mostly because u can do a lot of things with it, and most importantly u can even control the Apple Ipod with IRSHELL on ur PSP.
