kaxmir! take a deep breath... girlfriend! this stuff is not that complicated. well at first maybe!....give it time!....lol! if you like the stuff(programs) ur using ....keep using them. ANY-DVD running in the backround should cure most ill's. if you have ANY-DVD (if not ...buy it now!)the world is your oyster. :)

PS
Taios def do not suck!
MEMOREX DVD'S in fact do suck. 1 year from now those movies just won't playback right.

I have got to agree with aabbccdd, using any combination of these programs you should have been able to backup this DVD. Either you have a bad disk, or something else is going on. Your problems began after you restored your computer, either uninstall all your programs and reinstall them along with using a sypware/antivirus scan and do a registry clean and defrag, or do another reformat.

Well aabbccdd and all Guess What IT WORKED!!!!!!!

ANYDVD AND CLONEDVD2 - a bit tricky in reading since i have the trial version for now.

BUT MAJOR QUESTION:

a. WHY did CloneDVD2 only accept to write onto a DVD +RW and not a DVD+R?

b. HOW CAN I CHANGE PROGRAM TO RUN ONTO A DVD+R?
ALSO:
c. I know Clondvd2 - rips and burns
d. but what is purpose of AnyDVD - Does AnyDVD Shrink?

Many thanks

Thinking of purchasing.

:] thanks for putting up with the village idiot!!!

What is the make and model of your burner and the current fw. Clone does not choose the media it wants to write to, it will write to whatever media you give it. Sounds like your burner is having problems with what you are using. As for your versions being a trial, they are the whole program nothing is missing it works the same as when you buy.

@kaxmir.........
AnyDVD does not shrink. It breaks the copy protection on the dvds, so the other software can do it's job. Especially on the new movies, with the newer copy protections. AnyDVD seems to have the new stuff taken care of, by the time it hits the streets. It's a truely great program! When you buy, make sure you get it from Slysoft. If you buy from eBay, you'll waste your money, because it won't work very long, and you'll still end up buying from Slysoft. So, you'll end up paying twice. Slysoft does not support keys sold at eBay!

you get what u pay for IMO... Slysoft offers an all in one package which allows you to do anything you would ever want to... yes you pay for the program, but like i said, you get what u pay for

click start click my computer right click your drive go to properties click hardware and you see the brand of drive you have.

and as i said 100 times already AnyDVD works in the background removing the protection from the dvd

from slysoft READ THIS!!!!

AnyDVD works in the background to automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it's inserted into the drive, allowing you then to backup the movie using a DVD backup tool such as CloneDVD and CloneDVD mobile. You can also remove the RPC region code, thereby making the movie region free and viewable on any DVD player and with any DVD player software.

AnyDVD is capable of removing unwanted movie features, including subtitles and prohibition messages such as copyright and FBI warnings. It also allows you to launch an external application whenever you insert or remove a disc, or prevent 'PC-friendly' software from automatically launching when you insert a video DVD.

Decryption is not all that AnyDVD offers. You can control the drive speed of your DVD drive, allowing you to reduce the noise level when watching movies on your PC. You can even adjust the display frequency of your monitor for both NTSC and PAL displays.

But AnyDVD doesn't just stop at DVDs. It also decrypts protected audio CDs to allow you to copy them.
Features
Works automatically in the background
Removes encryption (CSS) and region code (RPC) from DVDs
Removes analogue copy protection (Macrovision)
Removes features such as forced subtitles and warnings
Decrypts without the need to save the data onto your hard-disk
Decrypts 'on the fly'
Prevents automatic launching of 'PC-friendly' software on video DVDs
Allows adjustment of your monitor refresh rate for both NTSC and PAL monitors
Allows execution of external programs on disc insertion and removal
Allows speed control of your DVD drives
Compatible with all DVD media
Works with all DVD-drives, regardless of region code
Works with all DVD copying, such as CloneDVD, and all DVD player software
Works transparently for the operating system: DVDs can be shared over the network and copied with the command prompt or with Windows Explorer, etc.
Proven to be stable and fast and does not require an ASPI driver
Features AnyCDDA: play, copy and rip protected audio CDs

Edit: Wish I could have seen the posts after arniebear but AD chooses to not show them sometimes. So glad you got things sorted.

keep in mind i am getting the Disney movies i have problems with the day there are released. so i think thats a gamble being AnyDVD hasn't updated the program for that movie.

I did finally remember the program that shows ALL about computer's burner drivers, etc, it's called dvdinfopro

Under DVDINFOPRO DRIVE SCAN 100% COMPLETE ...Here is what it says: "Adding drive _NEC DVD+-RW ND-6450A"

BUT UNDER DRIVE SUPPORTED WRITE FEATURES THE FOLLOWING ARE TICKED OFF:
CD-R, CD-RW, CDSAO/RAW, CDTAO, DVD-R, DVD-RW SEQUENTIAL, DVD-RW RESTRICTED, DVD+R, DVD+RW, BUFFER UNDERUN, TEST WRITE

If u dont use any of there products why do u think the virus/spyware is from slysoft?, just doesn't make any sense, u probably have gotten it from somewhere else.
