Alright I am going to get a new computer and the 5G Video. Which one is better. Black or white and 30GB or 60GB?

I have a nano right now.

And could someone direct me to the forum that talks about checking hard drives on a PC to see what's on them(I have one laying around from a old computer I used to have that ran Windows 98 Second Edition).

The color of your ipod doesn't matter, its your choice. Instead of getting the 60gb 5g ipod.you could get the 80gb 5th Gen ipod which cost $50 less than the price of the 60gb. Don't be like me get the 80, the new enhance version. So far i've heard no complaints about them.

As for checking to see what the harddrive has on it you can open your pc's case and attach the hardrive to the ribbon cable and set it as a secondary drive (slave drive) and your pc should recognise it,providing it was working.

The more memory the merrier especially if you plan on watching videos. I would also recommend the black iPod if you are looking to watch video's because it has been proven to increas the percieved image quality, giving the picture better contrast. Just look at TV's, they all have a black band around the outside of the image and it is there for a reason.
