im trying to run need for speed Carbon so i just go buy any UMD game install it to my psp then my iso will load and playable??

kealvaro pls help on how to play iso on usb.. i already cut and paste the cygwin1.dll to system32 and then connect the psp to the pc and press home and the usb mode then usbhosts then click ryt but it cant detect a new hardware or device? should i be on firmware 1.5 or 2.71?

Is it risky to put my CPU SPEED to 333? they said that PSP is built for 333MHz and if you put it to 333mhz it will only cost you more battery power, and theres no risk to use it?

^^ yup, no risk at all (except u lose battery life alot quicker and sometimes the game'll crash if ur loading it directly off devhook but since ur not u don't have to worry.
although i'm not too sure now. I say, wait till someone else comfirms it. I know it will not brick ur psp for sure!

lord nope all iso games works perfectly,same graphics but faster coz u are running it through memory stick.if u run it from a umd it's alot i mean a lot slower.
btw wat programme u use , I am using Azureus.where u stay, maybe is the location problem that bring down the speed

I downloaded Splinter Essentials, 1.3GB, and i try to play it, in the beggining its ok it loads to the main menu, then when it says press START BUTTON, its getting error. something like number errors. is it a BAD ISO?

@lord i think most likely it's a bad one coz mines work.
oh and sorry guys there bricking thing was wrong i mistaken it with something else.sorry guys
yup and if u compress an iso game to cso it a lot better and smaller,remember to delete the update folder inside so that it cuts more space.use UMDGEN 3.50 use can get it in psp-hacks.com

@burgiju i will make a video about playing iso through usb.u have to make sure that you use the analogstick and move right in usbhost
@furious88 i am use Azureus too my speed reaches to 135kb/sec to 230kb/sec and i live in hong kong,im using a rubbish internet company called i-cable but still quite fast.maybe the file you are getting is either old or there is less seeds.is your speed low also on the new games???

I tried converting ISO to CSO with level 5 compresion but its LAG when im playing games like GTA and Burnout. is there any method to compress this ISO's and get less LAG?

compressing an iso to cso.yes it is a good thing that it is small but i forgot to mention you shouldn't be compressing to small coz it will take time to load

Hi guys , I just need some tips for changing the thumbnail image when u press the home button the iso selection will come pop up with the game title at the side theres a image of a psp cover, Can the image be change? I just need some info about rename the image file example the game title is Dynasty Warriors.iso is the image has to be the same name with the iso or the umd ID? & where to put it to make it work. Is the setting in devhook need to change. THX

DEz012,i think you want to put it this way rite
the game name is:DYNASTY WARRIORS
the image of the cover cannot be seen rite,if you want the image of the game to be seen in your emulated 2.71.just go to devhook and view the game once then click on start.
guys i forgot to tell u this,sometimes when u put new games into your psp then u emulate to 2.71 usually when u press home the image cover is not there but instead it will display "iso/cso".to recover back the game cover image just go back to devhook and view the game,if you put more then one just view them all once then press on start in devhook.now you can see the game image cover

I see you dont get the point of my question. What i mean is this picture can be change just like the thumbnail when u select the games using the home button or cant be change b'coz cant see the thumbnail clearly, too small & this picture was on the another side of the screen with bigger size maybe can change to the original game cover download from the internet & each time browse different games will come differnt images just like the thumbnails???

you cannot change the psp cover on the right when you press HOME.but you view the image of the game on your left instead.the cover is to tell u that u are in devhook
