Hi i,m using psp video express and the quality could be better it seems to be a bit blured in some scenes I tryed downloading psp video 9 but When i bring it up theres only a small portion of it in the lower right hand corner of the screen any help would be good thanks.

Ok Cobba, forget about PSPvideo9, Movie Creator and the like, get yourself this http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=8671 and place it in the GAME foder.
Then grab yourself this app XVID4PSP http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=23305 (4.036 FULL FTP) and encode to PMPAVC, i garantee you,ll not get better encodes.
Sony locked the their internal player to 76800 pixels PMPMODAVC allows us to play 130560 pixels (480x272) AVC movies on or V1.50 or V2.71 SE-A PSP,s. I use this app myself and i highly recommend it.
If you need help with XVID4PSP just gimme ashout. ;P

after setting to pmp avc i change the resolution to 480 X 272
wat engine should i use
and which profile should i use
can u tell me the complete settings to convert a dvd movie to psp so that i can play it at full screen max quality and less size
well i converted garfield 2 using dvdx. first i converted it to XviD then i converted it to mp4.it was about 350mb

well no i didnt get it
well ill try it again
but when i convert and i stop in middle to check the print
then i play the file .avs to see the print.
the print is very good but on playing it on computer it appears laggy
why is it so?

That would be right Hani, it might appear laggy because you might not have FFDShow installed.

Nero recode works really well. very fast. very reliable. but it only converts to .mp4. maybe they have releases an update that will allowing encoding to AVC tho.

my advice dont mess with the umd movies they blow out your umd laser havent u noticed that most people who sale thier psp do to laser problem have umd movies lol dumb butt's

i dont think its the movies because the laser reads the UMD movies in the same manner it reads games. i think its because of misuse. Ive had my psp for over a year play it constantly....movies and games and my laser still reads UMD's just fine.

naw when it reads games it reads for an amount of time to get the image then it slows down but with movies it has to keep reading non stop so after a while it starts to wear out thats why broken lasers are one of the highest rated problem with psp's
you wouldnt believe how many i have had to fix for people

yeah but sony built the psp to read umds. if u were to add all the time together of people playing UMD games and movies. i bet games would surpass by a large margin. no one buys the psp solely for UMD movies. besides sony's proprietary format for the psp is dying anyhow. Case in point. so once again my theory is misuse.

yeah your right about that i hear sony was loseing thier little movie deal so they wont be makeing many more movie umd's any more turns out people dint wanna buy them as much but at least they tryed lol
