itunes was begging to sync with my ipod so i finally let it. Now itunes won't communicate with it. Hit it and quit it. not even a phone call. It wont even recognize it as an ipod in the menue on the left of the itunes window. Windows thinks its new hardware called "STMP3500"

Here's how my ordeal started: I wanted to be able to put new songs on my ipod shuffle with a different computer than I usually use. In order to do this I had to let itunes format my ipod so it can be synced with this computers version of itunes. I was hesitant to let it just delete all of my music so i came here and found out about sharepod and backed my music up. thanks by the way.

My new problem is: once i had all my music safe on my harddrive i figured I was ready to "sync" my ipod with this computers version of itunes. So once my music was all deleted i tried to put it back on my ipod to make sure everything was still ok...It wasn't!! itunes no longer recognizes my ipod. When I plug it in windows wants to find drivers for "New Hardware" windows sees it as stmp3500. This makes me think i need drivers, but it was at least recognizable by itunes as an ipod before it was "synced." my computer doesnt know what the hell im putting in the usb port anymore...im getting frustrated i dont even know what my question is. my ipod lost its identity it is now without any music after syncing it and unable to communicate with itunes or even windows.....help.....please?
