PSP Keyboard glitch / issue?

When I try to type something on my PSP. Such as a new website or if I wanted to change my nickname on my PSP. Something happens.
1. It wont let me type any other lets then the first letter you see on your PSP Screen. Like a,d,g,j,m,p,t,w. Those are the only letters it'll let me type
2. Once I try to change my nickname or enter a website adress, the | thing keeps going all the way to the right, I cant type, I cant move the | thing back, when i try to move the | thing back it goes all the way to the right again.
It's driving me NUTS!!! I just want to break my PSP now beacuse the keyboard thing won't work properly!!!!
Can you guy plz help me and tell me how i can fix it?

do u mean what version is my PSP? If that was what u ment my PSP version is ver.2.81
if firmware is something else i dont know then

that's the firmware version. so yes 2.81 is what i was asking. did you recently upgrade it or try to mod it in anyway?

this si someething to do with the actial D-pad. not a firmware issuse. you'll have to open your psp and try adjusting the pads under teh buttons. this will void your warrenty so...

no i never tried to mod my psp, thought of it but didnt mod it, i only have some music on my psp. im currently usuing a 32mb memory stick and im thinking of getting a 1GB memory stick, i have 848KB left on my memory stick.
could it be the keyboard needs more then 848 KB to funtion properly?
and how do i adjust it to make it run right again?

ok when u open it just mess about with the rubber thing keeping the buttons in place....push it in harder make sure its secure then before putting the screws back in test it out....if it works close it up an your dopne if not re adjust..

it's either the analog nub or the d-pad, try pressing either ov those hard to the left (not hard enough to break it though)

yh like smurff said it it past the warrenty you can send it back...also can we buy warreenty sticksers and stick them on our selfs?

all the peices to the psp are all fine, nothing is out of the ordinary, expext the keyboard. which i need help on.
