I have a black background and it says Abuzar on the top, with the Pakistani naval jack on the bottom. I'll post a pic later, thanks.

EDIT: This is what it looks like.

@mort81,
Hey buddy how is that P/S working out for you. I love the case. Cooler Master Elite 330. Good case for $28. :D

I've been monitoring my voltages on the P/S and it seems to run a little low on the 12V and the 5V. I'm using PC Probe II by ASUS and it shows the readings of 12V = 11.71 and 5V = 4.89. The other P/S (Apevia) showed 12V = 12.05 and 5V = 4.97. I don't know much about this and just want some "comfort" on the readings and the stability of the unit. It's still way within tolerances but like I said I don't know much about this. :)

...gm

The case is great!! I'm showing 4-8*C lower temps (now) with the new case and added fan. What a difference. Thanks again buddy. :D btw the case "works" better with the sides on. I guess the "wind" from the fans is better directed.

Your 12v is running a little low...It is better to be a little Over then Under...It is however with in tolerance...

Is this the Cooler Master P/S?..

greensman,

I'm still waiting on a replacement hdd for the one that was DOA. newegg was out of exact make and model so they gave me a refund. I ordered a seagate 250gb.

I haven't had a chance to go any further other than to get into the bios without the hdd. the case seems to be descent enough especially for no more than what it cost. it could stand to be made out of a little heavier gauge iron. it doesn't even compare with my CM mystique case but then again it only cost about 1/4 as much.

Yep the Cooler Master eXtreme Power 500W.....

I think it's ok but like most "low end" P/S it does have it's flaws. LOL. I will be getting something BETTER (more power I'm saying...where's Tim Taylor when you need him??) with the next build. Of course the Intel C2D and a little better case too. LOL.

NOT knocking what I already got but you guys with your Intel C2D are making me look LITTLE. hehehe. :P

....gm

NO matter the outcome I appreciate your help Mort81. :D Have you checked out the STACKER by CM?? Pretty cool I think. ;)

The stackers are awesome. The 810 has the oldskool big server look to it, whereas the 830 and 832 have the 'I bought a huge case' sort of look.

As for the voltages, they're pretty low I have to say, that's something you ought to be concerned about. A good power supply will never dip below 11.9V on the +12 or below 4.9V on the +5.

I personally would say Apevia make far worse power supplies than Coolermaster, but there we go.

YEH YEH YEH!!! I think that CM makes a pretty good P/S but like most companies the low end stuff is just that. It's running nicely tho and steady for what I have in the machine. 2 SATA HDD, 4 ODD (2 IDE 2 SATA), 7600GT OC, 4 - 512 DDR PC3200 RAM, X2 3800 939 cpu, 2 120mm case fans, ASUS 8N5X mobo (i think, at work and can't remember the exact model #).

You think I need more that 500W?? lol

Nah, you're probably only pulling 300W of power, but you need a well made power supply, the rating's almost irrelevant.

The E6750 is a 195 bucks. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...15029&Tpk=e6750

I prefer Crucial memory. This is a PC2-6400 memory, and it will easily overclock above PC2-8500. Oh and after rebates it's only 102 bucks!
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148076

I think for a video card you want at least a 8800 GTS.

The motherboard can be had for about 100. I use that motherboard and it is an excellent choice.

I already gave you links to the CPU and Memory.

I personally use a Ultra XVS 700 W PSU. It works fine, but other people would better advise you with PSUs.

my choice of memory is Corsair XMS PC2 6400 2gb for only $64 after MIR.

I prefer a modular p/s. here's a good one for only $126.90 after MIR.

good choice for the cpu. the gigabyte is a good choice too although asus does have some good choices as well but most of them will cost you a little more. I rarely stray away from asus though.

I think that Mort81 and Abuzar1 have answered some questions. :)

You can get 2 of these Optiarcs (sony) for the price you mentioned.

I like this LiteOn as well....it's newer so you might need a f/w update but DON'T be afraid of this drive. :)

btw there is "un-official" f/w updates for most WELL known optical drives (NEC_Optiarc, LiteOn, Pioneer just to name a few) so don't be afraid to ask about that either. :D

P/S....personal preference but Mort81 linked to a good one. :)

DON'T be fooled by some of the specs stated in the product review of some P/S. I know from first hand (3 low end p/s) that buying a GOOD P/S is the thing to do. I haven't had any failures yet but I'm lucky that way I guess. :D

How can you go wrong with Corsair RAM for $65 after MIR??

good mobo. I luv mine. it will require 2206 (2104 actually but it's been superseded by 2206) bios version or later for cpu's with 1333 fsb so if you go with the E6750 check with the vendor where you buy it to be sure it has that bios or later so it will accomodate 1333 fsb cpu's. you might be able to flash it yourself if it will only recognize the cpu at 1066 fsb, not sure though.

the only con is this mobo runs warm and before installing the mobo, I recommend removing the northbridge and southbridge heatsinks and reinstalling/reseating them with some artic silver 5 thermal compound. I even installed a 40x40x20 chipset fan on both the NB and SB heatsinks. made a big improvement.

Take a look at this P/S...way Better then the one you listed...
PC POWER and COOLING Silencer 610 EPS12V S61EPS Power Supply Retail ***Free Shipping*** $138
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDet...ctCode=10005612

This is an incredible deal on one of the highest rated P/S...The Antec is not even comparable to the PC Power & Cooling Unit...

@rick5446
The 25amps must be the recommended amps for the complete system...Not just the video card...1900 are not that power hungry...Could you post a link to the P/S you bought...If you want a Monster P/S...Go with the one I mentioned to Dreamer2...Nothing will touch It at that price range...

@dreamer2
I wouldn't recommend you do the N/B mod until after you have checked the system completely...once you Mod it...No More warranty...So make sure the M/B is Ok...Before removing the N/B cooler...

At full load, the X1900XT consumes about 12A on the 12V rail. The 25A figure is the recommended total, since my CPU probably consumes around 15A factoring in the efficiency of the VRMs. That's 27A right there, before you factor in the hard disks (another 3A to be safe), CD-ROM drive (another 1.5A), fans (another 1A), memory and chipset power usage (4A for high end gear) - all in all for my system I'm probably looking at maybe 37 to 38A. Not a problem since my PSU can put out 62A on the 12V rail, but nonetheless it demonstrates why power supply requirements are set far higher than what the card uses.

For core 2 Duos and the like I recommend the GA-965P-DS3 from gigabyte. The P5W DH Deluxe is just as good though, but probably more expensive.

sammorris..Thanks for the insight
I guess I better look for another PSU..The Enermax 22amp won't be sufficient power for the card, along with 2 Samsung 500 Gig HDD,1 Liteon LH20 DVDRW.
ASUS Crosshair MB with AMD Dual-Core 6000+..2Gig Mem..3 Fans
Any Suggestions ? I'm kinda lookin at these
What do U think of that 39 or 49amp mentioned earlier..looked for the link to newegg, but can't find it.
Also..Ultra XVS Modular 700W ATX Power Supply 40amp..I think I'D be partial to this one,Cables are a little impressive, enough wattage, & amps
http://www.cheapguys.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=127
Now that is if the Enermax isn't going to cut the mustard

22A is a bit low on the +12V rail. I personally recommend the Corsair HX 520W, I don't know how it compares to the XVS cost-wise, but it's very quiet (not many Ultra power supplies are).
