I can't seem to back up (The Devil Wears Prada) I'm useing (any dvd) & (clone dvd 2). The back up will get to about 47% & stop. I thought maybe I had a bad pressed original disc. Took it back exchanged for another only to run into the same problem. Has anyone had any success? if so please inlighten me. Thankx in advance

I had the same problem also. When I tried to rip it with AnyDVD(v 6.0.9.5) it would get an error at about 47-48%, when it was copying VOB_6_3 (part of the main movie), when I tried it with DVD Shrink(w/AnyDVD in the background) I got a CRC error in the same spot. I took the disc back and got a new one, and it did the same thing in the same spot. They also froze in that spot when I played them with PowerDVD, but played fine on both my stand alone players. Then I put the DVD in my other DVD drive (a Sony 710a) instead of my Benq 1655 and I was able to rip it with AnyDVD, although the read speed did slow down alot at that spot, but it made it through and copied the whole disk. So not really sure if that helps, but if you have another dvd drive you can try it in, try that.

I updated to AnyDVD 6.0.9.7 and have the exact same problems as mentioned above - using Nero Recode or Shrink.

The disk is brand new, in mint condition.

This was an easy one with AnyDVD & CloneDVD 2. In fact, I used AnyDVD version 6.0.9.5 with CloneDVD 2 version 2.9.0.2
Movie only, no extras, a very easy back-up.
I have ran into a lot of problems with Recode & a lot of Movies before I discovered CloneDVD 2. CloneDVD 2 does a Much Better job and I have had NO Problems since. In Fact, I Never use Recode anymore. I have over 500 back-ups flawlessly with CloneDVD 2! Slysoft software is the best!
Try CloneDVD 2! It's Free for 21 days! Try copy title only. See what results you get. P.S. Change the write speed from Default to what suits your media and setup. Default is Maximum.

Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

I'm having the same problem as the first message of this thread. I have the latest version of AnyDVD and am using Nero 6. I have been able to copy all other DVDs without an issue.

I have tried every idea mentioned on several forums (rip to HDD, Windows Explorer, AnyDVD, Nero, CloneDVD, cleaned disc, movie only ackup, etc.). I have backed up my collection for years - seen a million problems - but always found a fix somehow.

AnyDVD 6.0.9.7 and CloneDVD2 do NOT work on either of my drives for this movie.

This one is getting frustrating!!

Hey all you guys having trouble with the burning have you tried Ripit4me. It has always worked a treat for me. Just get the latest decryptor and shrink versions, and ripit4me will automate the whole process. just go to the ripit4me website and download the program. I must have done abt 50 movies now without a problem.

Put me in the AnyDVD & CloneDVD2 camp. Did this one (movie only + menus) on Saturday, and it worked like a charm.

On my main computer I let AnyDVD load then I boot my computer so that it is always running in the background.

Next when I put in the DVD, I then launch DVD Decrypter and rip the movie to my hard drive. Using that combination of software I havn't found a movie that I can't rip.

I then try DVD Shrink to see if it can shrink the movie. DVD Shrink was able to shrink "The Devil Wears Prada". After shrinking the movie I wrote it to a 16X DVD+R using CloneDVD 2. That method made a perfect copy of the movie without all the menus. Had I wanted to copy the whole movie with menus, I would have written it to a Dual Layer DVD+R; again using CloneDVD 2.
