NDS games come in standard sizes. 4MB, 8MB, 16MB, 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, and maybe 256MB. if it is not exactly one of these sizes, it is trimmed.

jgarces07:The shoulder buttons on my DS (not Lite) are not working. Any advice?
nintenut:This is going to sound a bit odd, but it works, put your lips around the trigger and blow really hard, it works.
bee_cup: My DS Lite L button don't work...
nintenut: Put your mouth on it and blow, gets the dust out, and sounds obscene!

E =Europe
U =USA
J =Japan
There is usually no difference other than language, though some games may have features on one region that are not available in others (i can't think of any DS games like that though)
The DS is region free, so it dosn't really matter what you get.

Mario Kart DS is a 32MB game by default so yes that is correct.

language will be whatever language was used where it launched. so your gonna hafta find some translations. i use gamefaqs.com

well, their not exactly apps, their homebrew apps. which is programming designed unofficially by consumers for a product. hence, that's why the title given was HOMEbrew, for such programming. i think...
anyways i use http://nintendo-ds.dcemu.co.uk/ for most of my homebrew. they are on th side panel to the left<. scroll down \/ for homebrew apps used for emulation, media playing, and errr... other(homebrew gaming, programming, random ds stuff).
i recommend:
moonshell (music, pics, videos[after encoding])
dsorganize (pda-like app capable of filebrowsing and other useful stuff)
beup (msn im client)
d-saim (aim client)
