Does anybody know of a way to make MTV urge downloads work on the iPod...?
I guess what im really asking is, does anyone know of a way to convert WMA's to AAC's for free?

Unfortunately, the last time I checked the WMA's you get off Urge are DRM copy-protected, so there wouldn't be a direct way to convert the WMA's into iPod files (unless you count those annoying programs, who play the audio file without disturbing the DRM, and copying what it is playing into a new file. Its a good idea, but I hear it sounds like crap)
So the only thing I could think of is burning your files onto a cd (audio not data) and then ripping them onto iTunes

i tried to burn them and do exactly what you said but it said that the DRM prevented me from burning....urghh, i dont know.

Anybody check the legality of Lime wire in a while? God knows, if it was I would be first one on the network, but as long as the RIAA and the MPAA are whining and moaning and the Patriot Act is in place, soon the FBI will be able to crack through firewalls and routers without a court order and then we'll all be screwed. As of now Lime wire is illegal in America. If you're in any other part of the world, then have a ball, but we 'Americans' have something to worry about. Plus MTV Urge is offering a fourteen day free for all trial on almost all of their stuff (stuff like videos and scant a few songs are not allowed to be downloaded, or at least kept in the library). If one would use a high quality legal DRM converter, i.e. Tunebite, then for a small fee, they would be able to get it unto their Pod or any other non-MTV-affiliated mp3 player. Honestly if one would do the Math, its more conscientious to download the stuff from Urge now and convert it with Tunebite, or risk a. paying 15 bucks a month just to access the store an pay more money just to be able to burn it onto a disk or sync it with one of 'their' mp3 players, or b. paying the standard .99 or 1.99 for songs on iTunes for only the iPod!
Can anyone tell me where the restroom is?

I am American. ;-)
And, as far as I know, as long as you stop sharing all the music you download, there's really no reason to worry about viruses if you have a decent antivirus. My new laptop has Limewire on it and nothing's happened.

Sure make as many jokes as you want, but the fact is that on Limewire, sometimes you can't get the virus off of your computer...
Can anyone tell me where the restroom is?

I'm not making any jokes....I'm just saying that I've seen people get viruses from things like Kazaa, BearShare, etc. but I have yet to see someone get one from Limewire that wasn't easy to get off.

My friend had Limewire and he had send it to CompUSA just to get it fixed, and as far as my knowledge goes he had a decent Virus program
Can anyone tell me where the restroom is?

Listen, I'm not trying to scare anyone away from Limewire, Bearshare, or Kazaa, but currently the legality of these programs are being questioned, there are numerous viruses that sometimes you can't get off your computer even with a decent anti-virus program. And the numero uno reason why I don't use it anymore is because of the really bad quality, if you're an audiophile like myself. For some the quality is fine, but I have a gigantic pair of headphones that can tell the differences between Limewire, ripped CD, and/or purchased music. So treat Limewire, and those other P2P programs on the back burner for last resorts. But for now do the humane thing, get tune bite or another one of these new legal protected file converters and either a. burn the new unprotected files onto a cd where you can rip it to iTunes by using iTunes itself, or EAC with the help of iTunesEncode.exe or b. decoded the files from the unprotected wma format through iTunes or another converter of your choice to get it into m4a, or m4p format. I will say nothing else towards this because I'm using Tunebite myself right now.
