i need help is there a way to reboot the ipod video differently from the out side cause no matter what i do it wont go on

Try resetting it by holding the Menu + Center buttons until the Apple logo appears.

I know this sounds pretty obvious, but is the hold switch on on the top? Is it fully charged? Did you try restoring in iTunes?

ok yes its charged yes the swithc is not on hold and no i cant restore it cause when plug it in to the computer it dosent even see it that why i wont to know if you can restet it another way

To me it just sounds completely DEAD. If it can't charge or show up on your computer, there is obviously really wrong with it. Maybe a battery problem or something.

I was going to start a topic because I'm having the same problem with my iPod Photo. I did the reset method that you posted and it works now. Thank you!
