there is a program that you can download called Easy VCD and in the program it lets you convert a dvd movie ANY SIZE Quality may vary depending on the size to a 80 min cd-r in what is called XVCD
or XSVCD format.....

http://www.eazyvcd.tk/ is the site and also check out http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php
to see if your dvd player is compatible with either of these formats

1st off what program are you using to make the VCD
or SVCD?

If you're using DVD2SVCD I'd suggest trying Easy VCD as I suggested before.. basicly you just put in the DVD it asks what format you want VCD SVCD XVCD or XVCD and how many discs you want to use..

Some DVD players LIKE MINE can read XVCD and XSVCD
Cd's so if you choose one of them formats you can fit 90mins + on one CD
but remember the Quality is going to vary on the size of the movie and the format...
you cannot fit 90 mins without loosing some quality Sound or Video

Actually I started reading around, and basically what I started to do now is just used TMPGEnc to encode the AVI file to whatever I want it and just use Nero to burn it. Thanks anyways.

If you lower the bit rate and the audio rate then it should cut it down to a size that will fit on a 80 min VCD .. Easy VCD Does all that for you... but only if you're going from DVD to MPG or Bin Cue File... if you're going from a AVI file or even another mpg you can cut it down using tmpgenc
and by using a bit rate calculator to see what bit rate and audio rate to set it all at..
