my ipod keys will not respond thae screen has a correct mark in middle of screen and ok to disconnect under it and it is in black writing an disk mode at the top help needed.

Sounds like you dropped it, and deff has hard drive damage. Try connecting to computer and doing a restore. IF that doesn't work, then you have a very expensive paper weight.

That's not what happened at all. Your iPod is just in disk mode. All you have to do is reset the iPod by holding Menu + Center buttons for 6 seconds until the Apple logo appears then it will boot normally. ;-)

i am having similar problems...kind of....


well...i went to turn on my ipod video (30gb) and got the sad ipod. i about cried and freaked out.....then i put it into disk mode. if i try to reset it....sad ipod face comes back.... WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!?????!!!!!! I need to rstore it, obviously....but i plug it in and nothing happens....

The sad iPod usually means a broken hard drive.
