Abuzar: You think I like it like this? I don't have any room to work. Unfortunately with nowhere to put the main hard disk for my PC other than atop that toolbox, I can't sit my server beside it, and thus the mess you see is created.
Pacman: I'm afraid my 900 isn't exactly a top end PC, my gaming machine is on the left. Nonetheless I think it's imposing, almost 'industrial' style appearance makes a good fileserver.

How is it? Btw congrats on finishing it. I cant wait till i have enough to build a new computer. Lucky lucky you.
Which case are you talking about? The antec 900? Well its a godsend from what im used to and the fact that its actually colder than my room says something about even the stock fans.
But i ask once again does anyone have any clue what this is and how to get rid of it?

Its annoying me..

andmill11, did you put green cathodes in a blue fan system? Looks nice!
BTW the volts thing, I think he is just saying he is using LESS volts than a normal fan.

You can runs fans from 5 volts up to 12 volts.
The lower the voltage the slower they spin.
I run one of these, so you can vary the speed to whatever you want to.

Plus it looks cool also.
P.S. ahhh sammorris you know were just teasing you. I'm a bit of a neat freak myself, my computer desk is always as clean as can be.

So the only thing different from normal ones is that they are sound activated? They look tight, why would you turn them off?

Abuzar: Then you can't complain...
Morquex: I use these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811998808
Mainly because they do 0-12V rather than the usual 6-12V.
I use it with my green cold cathodes as well as the fans.
As for why you'd turn them off, they are very bright, trust me you wouldn't want them on overnight if you slept in the same room as your PC...

Oh usually I turn my PC off, but yeah I know what you mean, since my old compaq had this annoying green LED in front, and it wouldn't let me sleep. I had to put a chair in front of it.

Indeed, I've had to blu-tac over my hard drive LED when watching films before, it lights up the whole room.

Well technically they ARE cold cathodes as well it has a switch on the back that lets you turn it off, as i like to call it "cool sound mode", and then permanently on. I keep it at the "cool sound mode" because it freaks out the dog when she barks.. oh and it blinks with music but who cares about that right?

Indeed. If you look back at the picture its basically just that clear box (that lights up blue) is the sound picker up thing. It has an adjustable knob on the back so you can pick how loud the sound has to be before it goes off. Theoretically you set it to where it picks up bass and voila music activated.. Ill see if i cant get a video or something up.

Yeah i was talking about the 900 guys.
And those lights are pretty tight.
Oh and the image thing, in the corner of your screen, is it on your background image? It looks like a watter mark.
Where did you get your background image? And have you seen the new movie? lol kinda off subject.

The link for them should be somewhere on here.. I bought 2 of them for under 20$ thats including tax and shipping. They are like 8$ a piece i think? They come in 12' i think. I should have gone with those..
And no its not a watermark it appears in the same spot with every background i pick. Found it off of google :) Typed in optimus prime. Its just annoying. Of course i have seen it. It even beats M.A.S.K (which is very hard to do).

Butbutbut, mine does that as well! Well, not the 900, but my main PC. I've got a dual-line inverter power bridge in there, a box the same size as an inverter, that can power two pairs of cold cathodes (I've currently only got it setup with white ones. Before I put the green ones in the 900, I hooked both up to it) you can have them both on, or flashing alternate, or run them both in sound-sensitive mode. I also have a sound-sensitive UV cold cathode on its own at the back.
UV lights and the inverters don't take up much space, but if you get several like I did, you'll find cables absolutely EVERYWHERE, so you need to be thorough and committed to cable management.
On the off-topic note, I loved the Transformers film and will soon be grabbing it in HD...

Ohh yes. Despite all its little quirks, my PC is the only system in our house that can play back all the HD films we've got properly, and there are 3 quite powerful machines here...
