Funny you say that about samsung drives, I was noticing a little bit of resonace from my case, tracked it down to the samsung units, so I just sold the 2 I had to a guy @work and ordered a couple seagate 7200.10 500GB/s units.
Should be here on friday.
They get really good ratings on silentpc.com

I love Seagate drives, they are quiet and have a 5 year warranty, longer than a PC would usually last.

Im sure this should be a new topic BUT!
Is it possible to upgrade a laptop?
Ok now the real question.
In vista when you select "printer sharing" it always says that its password enabled but the thing is i never set a password on anything. Is it possible to disable the password protection? If not what the heck might the password and username be?

You can upgrade a laptop but to a certain extent. You CAN upgrade the RAM (To the computers limit), Processor (though usually not worth it), Hard Drive (To the BIOS limit).
About Vista, I have no idea about printer sharing, I never played around with Vista enough to get to know file and printer sharing.

I was asking simply because my stepdads old laptop's backlight burnt out and i didnt want to go through the trouble of replacing it and then not being able to do anything with it.
(he replaced it already with an acer aspire 4520) He bought it simply because it looked nice. Thats it. Its incredibly slow by my standards and it comes pre-installed with the WORST copy of vista i have ever seen. 64 bit = crap.

XP might run much better on it. Post the specs, it might be worth replacing the backlight.

New question.. This one is actually a problem.
My old speakers ALL OF A SUDDEN started to make this really fuzzy noise whenever i adjust the volume. I have to turn them way up just to hear anything and music is now all distorted. It was working great one day then when i turned it on the next day they just suck now.
I never have them at high volume so i dont think i blew them out but i think that may be it? Could it be a driver issue or something plugged in or idunno.

Check all the connections, then I would try and re-insatll the drivers.
The speakers could also be dead.
Also check the settings in sound card options, maybe the wav. volume got turned down.
If I can't sense time, How can I heal?

Try looking around craigslist or something. I got my 7900 GTX for 120, and it beats the living crap outta those teo cards.

Yathink? My net's been off for a week and I'm having withdrawal symptoms. I plugged a 56k modem in for a laugh, and that's what I'm using to speak to you!
Andmill: bad luck about the speakers, my Z-5500s do that periodically, it's just a design flaw with the early revisions. Can't really be bothered to warranty replace them.
On the graphics card front, you should really be looking at either an 8600GTS or X1950 Pro, those cards simply aren't worth it.
