I've been trying to jailbreak my ipod touch and somewhere along the way things went wrong. That's after downgrading to 1.1.1 and the actual jailbreaking. I was trying to install the iphone apps. Now I only see the white apple logo on it. It does not respond to soft or hard reset. iTunes does not see it. So I need some method to restart the thing without using the normal hard reset or iTunes. Is there such a way?

its sounds like you bricked it...im pretty sure your f**ked ive hear hooking it up to a dock on like a stereo that is ipod compatible and it will put it into disk mode but im not sure
