Ipod Nano 8g black, new one... alternative firmware/managers that work?

Hey, I know there are a TON of alternative Ipod managers, however, it seems like they absolutely do not work with the Ipod nano 8g, the 6th gen new one.

I don't like apple, but I got a good deal on it, so I figure, what the hell, all the DRM and formatting stuff shouldn't be too difficult if I can sidestep using Itunes and stuff. I know it might be hard to get any other firmware on here (I would love for there to be some kind of rockbox support for this device, but looks like a no go)

So yeah. I'm asking what I can use for windows besides Amarok + andLinux to manage the device. I'm hoping for a dedicated manager instead of a player extension.
I'm also wondering if there are alternative firmwares or in-ipod managers. Oh, and freeware games for the bastard, and... ipod linux?
