As the title suggests, what are the pros and cons of using either of the software?
In my opinion, dvd decrypter is better because the "booktype" feature works better, and I dont know any advantages of IMGBurn over dvd decrypter, other than the fact is uses a better burning engine, and a slightly better interface

Different applications with different purposes.. It's like comparing a ferarri to a dumper.. the ferrari is fast, but it's no good for shifting big heaps of building materials over rough ground ;)
imgburn is probably the best burning application there is (after k3b.. which you poor windows kids can't experience).. for burning..
decrypter is old and discontinued.. I think lightnin is trying to keep his rippers and burners in different boxes now since the decrypter fiasco.

Since there are updated programs to handle the ripping, and Imgburn for burning, i honestly don't use Dvd Decrypter much anymore.
Imgburn is the best burn engine out there. IMO...for us lowly Windows users anyway. ;)

I only use dvd decrypter to rip my copy to the hdd to make an aditional copy. Otherwise, it just sits on my desktop unused.

And Nero Express will do that on the fly if you want to copy a backup fast. Do them @16X without issues.

As does dvdfab and nti which I normally use, which is why it usually sits on my desktop unused. I don't have nero installed on either my desktop or laptop.

Im curious. Since this is a thread regarding imgburn... will ejecting a disc from a finished burner, screw with a current burners process? I am aware of the checkbox for ejecting after finishing, but... lets say I dont check it but wanna eject it. I know discspeed doesnt like it when your ejecting and loading discs while its busy. I am kinda afraid to test it and create a coaster. Has anyone had any problems attempting this? Is it ok?

To delete, or not to delete. THAT is the question!

@O7
So you are running two ImgBurns simutaneously and burning two different discs and one gets finished first and you want to eject it manually. Never done it but thats what cmcmag cheapies are for. Try it and see? If pc is fast i would imagine it being ok. Let us know.

I dont run multiple instances of imgburn. I LOVE the queue ability of imgburn. I guess thats what im gonna have to do. Try it I mean.
Nero is now the only way I will do simultaneous burning. Burners seem to like undivided access. Ive even tried simultaneous burning from separate HDD's to no avail. Causes buffer underruns. Though ALL burners seem to be ok with buffer underruns now. Oddly I can browse the web, watch movies, etc. without buffer underruns, As long as I dont interupt the HDD that is transfering data to the burner.

To delete, or not to delete. THAT is the question!

Success!!! In 2 instances now, ive attempted it with no probs. Once while the other was burning lead-in, and the other attempt was done while 50% was burned on the other burner. So, imgburn isnt bothered by ejecting while busy with another task! Good to know :D
Do not attempt with Discspeed though, :(

To delete, or not to delete. THAT is the question!

Regarding Imgburn, is it still available for download, as when I click on run, it goes through the process of downloading, but doesn't actually download the program. Could this be a bad link, or perhaps my laptop (Lenovo N500)?
