Ok then your 90001 must be like some of the 79001 models that didn't have that sensor.
I had no idea.

Ok so perhaps you only need TOOL A, and possbibly TOOL B

What brand of disc and type DVD-R, DVD+R did you use?

What program did you use to burn the backup and what speed?

Perhaps try another backup.

Also remember when starting your game with Swap Magic, to choose the Region of your PS2, regardless of what region the backup is.

My consoles: Nintendo64>Dreamcast aug/99>PS2 V7-Seagate 400gb hdd-Maxtor 300gb hdd,PS2 V14 FMCB 1.8 - Memor32 >V18 SM 3.6 >DS-Lite-G6DS Real 16GB-R4DS Ultra 8gb SDHC>Gamecube-Original>Wii-Wiikey 2>PSP PHAT CFW 5.00 M33-6>DSi (Kingdom Hearts Edition)-EZ Flash Vi - M3i Zero Sakura>Kindom Hearts:Birth by Sleep PSP 3000>PS3 80GB. Actually i bought this game off ebay. The disk includes Naruto Narutimate Hero 1,2,3 on one disk. It does look like a burned game but when i bought it, the description said it works exactly like a JP game. But if what you are saying is true then i should only need tools A and B? i think maybe i'll try an import that wasnt burned

That can happen sometimes. Make sure the disc is pressed all the way down on the spindle.

Oh ok I was wondering if was an Import Original, and not backups.
They are probably Original games as you say.
Are they CD or DVD discs.

They say imports are supposed to work with Swap Magic, but I don't know for sure as I have never played an import game.

If they don't work, you can use Imgburn to back them up to an ISO image, then burn the ISO image to DVD-R disk at 4x speed or higher.

Ok, I'm a complete idiot. I was using the CD instead of the DVD for the ps2. I have fully proven that Swap Magic works with the SCPH 90001 Playstation. All that is needed is tool A and none of the other ones. Covering the sensor above the reset button, along with using the Swap Magic DVD is the only requirement to play all imports. Thanks for everyone's help. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone =]
