I am buying games from someone who sells copied games for a chipped Wii. I am worried about the fact that some of the games might not work, like Brawl. Is there any specific instructions I can give him so that the games can play on backup loader.

If you have already played backups on your wii, then I would tell him what brand discs you are using already and at what speed you burned them at.

Because it seems not each wii is the same as to what media it like.

Otherwise only try 1 game to see if it works.

I will say I don't condone people who sell copied games for profit.

He needs to set the layer break manually at 2084960 in imgburn, and for me I burned on Verbatim DL DVD+R at 2.4x with imgburn.

Is this OK!

Download the following programs:

Friidump v 0.4.0.0 to dump the ISO
&
IMG BURN

Save the friidump folder on you C: in program files.
Insert your SSBB original into your "LG" drive.
Click on "START" for windows
Click on run
Type: cmd
Then click: OK
Type: cd..
Hit enter
Keep typing cd.. until you only see c:\> in dos
Now type: cd program files
Hit enter
Type: cd friidump
Hit enter
Type: friidump -d f: -a
(NOTE: f: is for my "LG" drive. Go to my computer and find out where you drive is located and put the corresponding letter there. For example, if your LG drive is the e drive then type -d e: -a, g drive would be friidump -d g:-a)
hit enter and the dump should start.

Once it is complete (about 6hrs or more) go to my computers. Click c: and click on program files. Find your friidump file, open it and you will find you BRAWL iso. Check it to make sure the Bytes are the correct size. Right click the file, then click properties. It should be 8,511,160,320
Now open IMG BURN and click on mode, write, select the Brawl file from the C: in the program file called friidump. Put in a DL disk a burner that will burn DL disk. Click Burn..

Use Verbatim DL DVD+R at 2.4x

Go to TOOLS, SETTINGS, WRITE. On options LAYER BREAK for DL media (top right) select USER SPECIFIED and enter 2084960. Click ok and then burn.

Is there another way to do it without friidump? Also, will any other games have the same problem as SSBB?

With Wii64, I select Load Game and then it freezes. I have no classic controller or GameCube controller. Do I need these to play the 64 games??

One last thing, is there any way that I can play GameCube games on the Wii without having to buy the actual game, like a homebrew backup loader thing?

Yes you can use Rawdump 2.1 to backup wii games, and no there are no other games like SSBB
http://www.wiihacks.com/dumping-burning-...-iso-files.html

Or you can dump games using homebrew and wifi
http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs...g-homebrew.html

As for the Wii64, you can read here
http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew/11367-wii-n64-emulator.html

I don't use any emulators, so not much help as I just purchase what games I want.

I told the guy how to burn SSBB but he said that it is how he does it. How is this the case because my wii plays the original version of SSBB? Does he have to use a dumper, because he doesn't.

I am using the Wiigator Backup Launcher Gamma

When I complete Classic mode or whenever a cutscene shows, a message saying "An error has occured. Please EJECT the disk or turn off the Wii." Something like that. It is in green writing with a white background.

The only thing I can think of is that if the original plays fine, then try a different backup launcher maybe.

You could try updating the launcher to the latest cIOS249r8

http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=144367

Sorry that was for the usb loader 1.1

I meant update in larrylje guide

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/735325

Just download the new files again

You just need to follow the part from "Installing WiiGator Backup Launcher 0.3 gamma"

I am having a problem with a game called Cabela's Big Game Huunter. When I open the game the screen turns fuzzy (you know with the little grey dots) and nothing happens. I was wondering if you have heard of this problem before? I cannot be bothered to try the new files just yet, so I will try them over the holidays.

I can't say I have heard of that problem.

Is the backup the same region as your Wii?

Could be its a poor burn or backup.

Ok it is actually pretty easy to follow seeing you already have the homebrew and backup launcher.

Just a matter of installing the newer files.

Good luck and hope it helps with your backups.

Everything is fine, even SSBB. All I had to do was to force the game to be PAL.

Do you know if Wii64 needs a classic controller?
