With a Pentium 3, you'd really be best off binning most of the stuff, not much would be any good to you, and a 2MB integrated Graphics 'accelerator' won't be playing any games.
I'd have to disagree with you about Power supplies though, ddp. My new PC (well new in January 04, I've modded it and messed with it since) came with an inWin 250W unit, and the systems at my school (Still reasonable - Sempron 2600+, 512MB RAM each) run 165W Supplies fine.
Really if you're not into games, just pickup a cheap new system, AMD Sempron, 512MB of RAM (since memory is so cheap now), probably integrated Graphics, sound and networking, and a basic CD Writer or Combo drive should do you with maybe an 80GB hard disk.
If you're heading along the Radeon 9250 route, MAKE SURE it's a 128-bit version, not 64-bit, as the 64-bit version is no faster than a 64MB Radeon 8000!

That's not it, a new monitor will be kick in hind end, and probally increase that estimate by at least 50%. If you want LCD you can almost double it.
Fanboy is a term used to describe someone who is utterly devoted to a single subject. This generally is followed by the devotion and support even when proved wrong.
Anecdotal, by my definition, it's the way too many people here think. It's also all the evidence you have.
Xbox 360 GT: NEGATIVE 273K
My advice: Wait for PS3.

Phyco_Can--- Everything there works together fine except the video card you chose. That one has an AGP interface, and won't work in your PCIexpress motherboard. You need to choose a PCIexpress card such as: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130214
Also, look into getting two sticks of 512MB Ram, and not one of 1GB Ram.
Good luck!!!
AMD Athlon 64 FX-55, MSI K8N Neo4-F Motherboard, Creative Labs T5400 5.1 Surround Sound Speaks, Pioneer DVR-109 16X DVD Burner, MSI GeForce 8800 GTS PCIe GFX Card, 1 GB Value Ram.

If you need this much help, it might be best to do a little more research before you start. Building a PC isn't hard, but you shouldn't have to have someone else tell you if your video card works. I have a feeling this might not go smoothly for you, but it still could. Especially if you have people help you on AD.
