I'm not an Apple fan by any means but this is one exception. I have been using my 160 GB iPod Classic for about 6 years now and I still love it. I have about 3,000 song's on it at any given time. To bad it's going away.
I am a recent Apple fanboy. I purchased an iPad 2 with the classic 30 pin connector. I always thought it was overkill considering the actual pin count is used. The newer Lightning connector system is by far more efficient in size, speed and data transfer. The loss of the classic iPod is sad because it fit the small fan base for solid tactile controls.
