i am just about to transfer the c and e directory from the backup of the working softmod that i have on pc to the hard drive of the xbox i just put the chip into!

not a broken xbox, but the one xbox i have which is softmodded and working still! it was the very first one i softmodded and i backed it up on my pc which i should of done for all of them that i have soft modded so far!

so after this is complete, should i be able to remove the mod chip and boot the xbox up or do i have to lock the drive or something?

okay, give me a couple of minutes, when i reboot, what will i be looking for, original boot up, or the way it use to boot up with the soft mod and verify with me, that i dont have to do any kind of locking or unlocking now!

you xbox is lock right. you don't need to worry.
I only affaid that the back up does not from this xbox.

okay, the chip is out now, everything is back together sort of speak on the xbox, will turn it on again, but before i do this, should it boot like it use to when it was working with the soft mod?

with the power button, always do with my other softmodded xbox, and the dashboard comes up, or somtimes i just put game in and using eject button, but both ways work fine!

okay, it booted up, no error message, have my dashboard on there now and i put a back up game in, my favourite one, land of the dead, wow, its working again!
