I wish QOTSA would get back to their roots and stop putting out the "not worthy" albums that their last two have been.

There is a group that I was listening to a year or two ago and I can't remember the name to save my life.

Who doesn't like game soundtracks?! They are, if the game is good, usually good and there are no vocals so it's good for studying because supposedly music without vocals stimulates the brain.

Nickelback - Savin Me
Hard solo.

EDIT- Wow, talk about a run-on sentence.

Doesnt expecting the unexpected make the unexpected expected and therefore mean youre expecting the expected which was the unexpected until you expected it?

I couldn't agree more, vocalised music is often to my detriment when working, but ambient or instrumental tracks can get me through the most arduous of reports and revision no trouble! Besides, FEAR was a great game, and the soundtrack was part of the reason why.

i'm quite the opposite, a bit like the alleged doctors on Casualty and Holby City on TV (ie they play music in the operating theatre). I do my best work when the noisiest heaviest music is on my headphones, nothing like a couple hundred people not being able to work until you work some magic with the company servers (with loud music helping the troubleshooting process) :)

Hehe, fair enough. Not often I have to do work on servers (only my Multimedia server which I haven't used for a while) but I had some heavy stuff on when I was playing with that.
