Bitcomet 0.57 kickass, I maxed out at 765kbs and average around 300kbs. A lot of sites are bannig bitcomet, but there is a patch to fix that. I am connected through a router and I use ZONEALARM Securitey Suite and PeerGuardin2 and have no problems with speed or connecting, Its all in how you set everything up.

How fast are your internet connections, you guys who get 500+kbs?
ive got 1.5mbps cable & the fastest ive ever seen is 100kbs (LimeWire for music) and 40kbs (Azuerus for movies. something tells me im not set up right.
Get on this :- the night after i went to see Star Wars Ep. 3 - Revenge of the Sith at the cinema, i started DL'ing the workprint from a bittorrent tracker via azeurus... I went to the local market the morning after that & picked up a copy of the film, got home & my DL was still only on 40% completed! so i killed it & watched the film again on me dvd player. Thats some failed downloading i bet...

50 bucks for a 5MB connection. Thats about £27! Jesus! I pay 20 quid for a 512kb connection ($45). Yet again another case of us Brits getting f*ckin ripped off! And also being left behind in technology! I can't even get access to a 1MB connection as I live too far away from the exchange server. BT need to stop dragging their feet and get their fingers out their arses and get this sorted. God I f*ckin hate this country. Pay over the odds for outdated technology! And don't get my f*ckin started on taxes! This place is a f*ckin shit hole RIP OFF BRITAIN!

Im with you on that one, Spencer... we always get ripped off.
Cant you get Telewest Broadband in your area? although its not as cheap as our friends there in the US, its much better value for money. 20 quid for half a meg is a bit steep. i get 1.5mb for £27 with telewest. Although not mega-fast, ive had no probs at all with them as an ISP. Theyve even changed my IP address twice in the last year & i never asked them to! Always a good thing to change if you use P2P regular.

well im with telewest and i have the 4mg connection here in the uk and i mostly use bit torrent for everything apart from my mp3's where i use ares lite which is supper fast. im also getting my divx movies in about 30 mins and my 1gb+ films in about 1-2 hours it realy all depends on the seeds. i have tried mucking about with the newsgroups but unless you pay for access to a good server its all sh*t on there.

I pay £25 per month for 1.1mbps, 10MB freespace + 5 email addresses.. my ISP is virgin. I have been with them for around 3 months and already theyve sent my Dad an email asking me to calm down with the downloading and uploading. I knew there was a 20GB monthly limit and they've requested me to keep it to 1GB per day and no more than 5GB per week.. Now I wish I went with another ISP.. but I didn't want to sign the 12month minimum contract.
I agree that we are gettin ripped off.. the best we can get here is about 2mb i think...

What is the best p2p file sharing program that is: legal, contains no spyware, great for downloading music, movies, and software, fast, easy, safe, secure, and will work with my system specs.
I used bitdefender 8.0 as my anti-virus protection, windows firewall, and Auleria as my spyware. I'm running windows XP home.
