Why do you need to start a thread? All of your questions were answered on page 1.

What kind of help(s) do you need, LiteonSO? Please be specific when asking for questions ie what PS2 version do you have? What modification you have ie modchip, Swap Magic with Flip Top or SlideCard? What game(s) you need to backup? What game(s) you're having trouble with loading/backing up? What media you're using? What speed you're burning? What dvd burner/firmware you have?

@alkohol- maybe this guy will listen to you being as he followed one of your guides cus he sure took long enough to get the point from me (and ddp who had obviously had the misfortune to come across him under previous username(s).
i've answered the blank disc part of the question but the guy has had like more replies than most new posters get, so if he can't understand the answers he's got, he must need schooling

Hi,
Ok i used cloneCD to copy my compact original PS2 disc into a cdr via cue file. The cd is called DataWrite, and its manufactured by Datasafe media, I then put the copyed cdr ps2 game on my computer to see if i had the same files as the orginal one and i did. Then i used swap magic and the slidetool. I inserted the 'COMPACT DISC' in it, choosed PAL, then load program, then i had to choose PAL then load prgram again i dont know why. Then i used the slide tool to eject the tray, and pulled it all the out, it then made a funny noise, like a booting noise (ie quiet then loud, quiet then loud). I swoped the discs with my Backup, i used the slidetool to completly shut the tray, then the noise stopped and every single time i click on the disc it says 'please insert a ps2 or ps2 1 format disc' why does it say that is it because,
I have to use me software (not just cloneCD)
Media is very low cant read at all
Burning speed, i used 4x
Help me please
ty

@creaky
I can't believe we just had a blizzard (4 - 5 inches of snows), man this sucks. New Year and I can't go nowhere, damn, sometimes I wish I'm still in Cali instead -- oh well, that's life, I can live with it.
Back to LiteonSO, I hope he's listening now -- he's been inactive a few times and he should have learned his lesson (hopefully). The guy's eager/hunger for helps that's all, but I think he went a little too far by posting too many threads regarding the same/similar issues/questions, which is obvious that it's against AD rules.
I know how you feel buddy (creaky), as a matter of fact, I did said that you're one of the coolest and most active Mod at AD in your little crib aka "shout box", LOL. With that being said, by all means chasing noobs and closing threads due to multiple posts can easily ruin your day.

@liteonSO
Maxell is good, as long as it's "Made In Japan". Other high quality are Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim (make sure it's "advanced azo or datalife plus"). A good rule of thumb is to always burn at 4X. In additon, make sure your burner's firmware is always staying on top (meaning has the most current firmware). To check on your burner's firmware, go here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php and get the latest to update your burner, if yours is behind.

i'm assuming that's the same price as if you walk into argos (i'm in UK too btw) in which case they're too expensive. i only buy discs online as even PC World are too expensive.

it depends how soon you want them, what with it being New Year and all. www.svp.co.uk have some fantastic discs at great prices, if you buy enough to justify the £4.99 shipping charge

@liteonSO
Listen to my buddy creaky, he's in the UK and he knows where you can get high quality with a decent cheap price.
Yes, the link I provided earlier is a lists of all dvd burners. If yours is listed in there, just click on the name and model and check to see if there's any new firmware available. For example: my burner is SONY DRU 710A and my firmware is BYX5, now I check to see if there's any higher or newer, if there's none then it means that my firmware is the most current one. Get it now.
What's your burner's name/model?
