Wii currently is great it runs smooth no faults great games and upcomming games the best nintendo has had I mean whan has Nintendo Had a Game like The Godfather or Scarface!,there are rumours that KH3 might come to the Wii,You get web browsing, news,Weather,Old games,Mp3 player,Video Player,Picture viewer and Editor,Email Composer,A Full Introductory game.all for 250us.
I dont think all of that is for $250 US. First of all if you bought a Wii plus one game at launch it came out to $330 after tax. Old games on the wii shop channel are $10 each for N64. $8 each for snes and sega and turbo gfx. $5 for nes games. Wii eats up AA batteries pretty quick too i have to change mine every 2 weeks. And a good size SD card to keep ur pictures like 1 gig will run you about $50-60. So dont go and say wii is cheap when it actually isnt when all the "cheap" liitle expenses adds up. So far i spent around $600 and i have only 2 games Zelda and COD3, plus component cables, SD card , and 6 games on VC.
Oh and every console has faults at launch the wii isnt perfect either. Faulty straps and nunchucks are reported by a bunch of people. Wifi on the wii is rarely stable and connect24 usually disconnects after a week. Crashes on the internet channel happens alot (understandable since its trial version) if you get too close to the tv the wii mote will spazz out and the pointer shakes randomly making it hard to navigate.
No console is perfect...
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

lol all these things are true but compair it with ps3 lol.
games on virtual console arent a requirment they are optional also its not like ps3 arent doing the same thing if you want to play a psx game on your psp you have to pay for it. im not sure if you can download psx games to play on ur ps3 any who aa battaries lol cant argue with you there but sony havent really been good with batteris aswell "Those wondering about battery life will be happy to note the controller is expected to get about 30 hours of playtime out of one 2.5 hour charge. As the battery isn't replaceable, when it's no longer recharging the controller needs to be replaced or sent for repairs" the straps will only break if you swing like a madman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkdihGX7iWM :) lol also your not really supposed to stand so close to the television when playing wii so really its good that the wiimote reacts that way lol no one really wants to have "square eyes"
i only spent 209 pounds on my wii and i got all i really needed 2 games wiisprts and zelda thats really it if i every thing bout gettin an sd card i wont only use it on my wii il use it for all sorts i havent really got important pictures dat HAVE to be saved on my wii
how the hell did you spend $600 on ur wii?
im tryna do the calculations and they dont add up

Quote: $327 first bought + Zelda
$56 1 gig SD card You could have found a 2gig for much less than that.
$64 COD3
$54 Nintendo component cables
$44 on wii points -You bought a dam lot of points
$10 pack of batteries -You could have bough Rechargable opnes for here (20au) for charger and 4x aa duracel
$30 something for classic controller i forgot
If you think that is expensive like you said then why dont we look at all those same things for a Ps3. the console si more then the whole lot.

Right. You got the fully-loaded Wii with some butt-kicking games for less than the retail price of the PS3/60GB alone. And Wii doesn't require you to own an HDTV to get it's full potential, although it sure wouldn't hurt if you happen to have one.
If that doesn't convince you which is better....
...but deadly for 12,000 years is Carbon 14.

i was just proving that you dont get every feature on the wii that dazila listed for just 250 us... any ways, ofcourse ps3 is expensive but you get what you pay for. saying the wii is better than a ps3 cuz of its price is like saying a honda civic is better than a ferarri.

Top 10 game franchises in my opinion (in no particular order):
Metal Gear
Final Fantasy
Resident Evil
GTA
Gran Turismo
Devil May Cry
Jak and Daxter
Ratchet and Clank
Halo
Zelda
Mario
Thats why I bought the PS3. Nintendo's biggest selling point for me is Zelda but Im not willing to spend £220 to play it. I've never owned an Xbox but from what I can see, the only GREAT game on the 360 which is not going directly to the PS3 is Gears of War and again, Im not willing to spend £250 to play that.
Inspiron 5150 notebook, P4 3.06ghz w/HT, 512mb RAM,64mb GeForce 5200, 4x DVD+R/+RW combo drive.

well i like both systems but the PS3 a lil more. I only like nintendo cuz i grew up playing it then got a PS1 after my snes....never got a N64 cuz i thought the PS1 was better and had better games. Til my friend gave me his GC and i played Zelda windwaker and Super mario sunshine and i thought it was the greatest thing ever....thats why i got the wii cuz i would like to see more of what nintendo can do. But nothing will ever compare to Sony cuz they have so many great games especially all the series that thewaksta listed.
Oh and the $44 i spent on wii points isnt that much at all...only 4000 points. 1000 on mario 64, 1000 on mario kart 64, 800 on street fighter 2, 500 on donkey kong, 500 for super mario. 200 points left over that i cant use on anything...
And Nintendo fooled everyone when they said the wii is backwards compatible all the way to nes...what they didnt tell you is that they will charge you out the ass on games that you probably owned at one point already. At least the PS3 allows you to play games you owned all the way back to PS1... and even nes, snes, n64, all on emulators that runs on linux....FREE!

Why would you say that anyboady that is not retardede would know that a optical Media consoles CANNOT play cartrdiges so oyu have ot downoload it but nintendo isnt gonna do it for free they are selling the games as games not free giveaways because ven after 25 years they hold teh liscence and they have a right to sell these games.

Engine wise yes it would be a ps3 but on the outside the ps3 isnt even close ot a 1978 civic overall the Wii is a Ferrari it isnt the fastets (Ferrari Have no car that is the world s fastest) but its one of the top 10 car brands.
