Unless stated otherwise 3.51 means sony official firmware 3.51, which is what this thread is about.
What you were refering to is the custom firmware, 3.51m33. Get your facts straight.
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

You need to disable the 3 settings in advanced settings.
Did you put a GAME umd in?

hey samuellee
maybe it's not the psp or the iso or the frameware
maybe it's your memory chip, y don't you try using a different chip and see if you get errors again...
i hope you've though of it this way...

hey SlayerXz
i would recommend you update to 3.52 3MM custom frameware because
im using it now... it gives you all the latest feature plus allows you to homebrew / iso downloaded games and it supports new games.... and all of these are built in ...
hey people with 3.52 3MM back me up on this!!!!

Do you mean the memory will cause this issue? Iam using the SANDISK 4 GB memory stick.
How about the FW? Will it cause the same issue? Iam using 3.03oe-c.

- some fake MS cause problems
- staying on 3.03FW will also cause problems as many games require higher FW than that... 3.52 M33 is my recommendation.

@ every1 who said memory chip, sony named it memory stick :) hence the abbreviation 'MS'.
Anyway, check the top of the forum for threads on upgrading FW or use the search function to find a thread.

I, too, am having troubles starting a umd game. I just bought Silent Hill Origins yesterday and I'd like to play it. I'm on 3.03 oe-c firmware and have 1.50 homebrew on my psp. I've gone in the recovery menu and have tried everything, but nothing works. I keep getting the error code 80020148 when I try to load the game and error code DADADADA when I try load the update. I had the same problem with Madden 07, but I enabled the use no umd and that game has worked ever since. HEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!

a large proportion of games now require higher than 3.03FW...many 3.5x or even higher...
upgrade to 3.52m33 or 3.71m33, they do much the same job

that's your problem right there. you need custom firmware for psptube. and the only way is with pandora's battery and universal unbricker v3 memory stick.
Originally posted by killer619: which cfw is recommended? ive heard 3.71m33 had loads of bricks
3.71 m33-4 is stable. the earlier versions had bugs in them that caused bricks. go with 3.71 m33-3 or -4
