Hey guys, i've bought a new one, ver 3.72, but I cannot play any downloaded game, even if cannot install any fw, irshell, devhook... It is always error 80020148 (The game could not be started)
I have refer to many forums, many instruction, but it still not work.
Any big idea?

Have you heard about custom firmware or dark_alex?
You need custom firmware to get the games and the programs started.

Oh thank u, i've tried custom fw 3.80 M33 (wondering whether its a custom fw), but its still stay the same, not work. I will try new, but a bit boring.
Just a week cannot play anything.. Give up it???

where do u put the cso/iso games?
do you have 1.5 kernel addon installed?
Also, switch the UMD/ISO mode to SonyNp9660 Do UMD.

1.5 kernel? even if I cannot installed anything as I said.

If you are on 3.90 M33 press SELECT on XMB menu then switch UMD/ISO mode to Sony NP9660.
If you are on OFW you can't play anithing.

i bought a game jackass but it wont work on my psp but it'll work on my brothers
my system software is 3.40 OE-A
my brothers is 3.52 M33-2
do i need to get the same as my brothers

yer you'll need to update to 3.52 m33 or higher. id recoment using pandoras battery and go direct to 3.90m33 its the latest m33 release so all games work on it.
because you have cfw i recomend using upms to do it all its very simple.
then one done you will have to install the 1.50 kerenl (on 3.71+ there split because of the slim not supporting 1.50) then once you've done that just format the memory card and put yer games in the iso folder.
hope that helps
be best to use a 1gb mem stick for upms

hi i currently have 5.00 M33-3 and im tryin to run the daedalus r13 emulator but i get the error code 80020148, im not very good at psp hacks , i tried going recovery/advanced/advanced and disabling and enabling all them i also switched it from 5.XX to 1.50 kernel but its still not working can u plz help me. if it matters i have a psp fat

I also get the error 'The game cannot be started (80020148)' - my psp is 3.10 OE-A. Means absolutely nothing to me but hopefully it will to u guys!!
I have managed to extract rar and get my iso file then transfer to my psp iso file but just get the above error.
I have a umd in the drive. Any suggestions?

Eldie...how many noobs are we going to have in this thread? YOU NEED CFW! (THAT'S CUSTOM FIRMWARE) Just make a pandora battery, or get one from a friend, make a magic memory stick and there you go. Don't know wtf i'm talking about? Google PSP how to make a pandora battery

mick can u help me i have 5.00-m33-6, i have madden10 as in my iso folder everytime i try to play it i get th 80020148 error message i also have an SNES emulator that gives me the same message, i have GTA LCS on my mem stick and that works fine. pls help help me out dude!!

no it's a real 4g and magicgate supported,
mickoz, my settings are as follows:
cpu clock xmb: default
cpu clock game: default (GTA lags a little)what should these be set at??
USb device: memory stick
ISO video mount: none
