1230 does not work on new boxes, try a factory reset first and then power off box and reflash with a fresh 1220 then let box reboot then scan for channels.

I've had the box since about February, is that new? I've got it working again on the 1220. So should I factory reset then flash with 1230? The rebooting aint a massive issue, just a bit of pain.

Think I might end up going back to v102, don't remember the reboot happening when I had that verion on.
Can't understand how v1230 is only 125kb when v102 & v1220 are amlost 300kb?

as far as i am aware 1220 is a full program, whereas the 1230 is only a top up patch.someone said to me to say go back to v102 then 1230 and see if it works.

The copy of v1230 I have saved on my PC is 290kb big not 125kb. I have a Digivox XL running v1230 with no problems. I purchased my XL early 2008.

Attention all those who have had problems loading v1230 firmware onto Digivox XL :- Is the firmware file you used only 125kb? If so it could be that the file is either corrupt or incomplete. I have a copy of v1230 and the size of this file is 290kb. This file works no problem...

Thanks for the file mjh. No problem loading it up, no chdl, box now says V13-2000 on system info, I'm guessing this is right? Hasn't rebooted yet anyway.
Cheers.

Turn off the box before you start the update. Start the update on the pc then switch the box on (1 or 2 seconds) then the update should begin. Try the v1220 first, then if you have the larger version of v1230 I'd advise you put that on. It was the small version of the v1230 (link posted on this thread) that gave me the chdl error as well.

The 290kb version of v1230 works for me. Have you tried uploading it again since you got rid of the chdl error?
The only difference is you may find the box will reboot every hour or so with v1220 when you are watchin something, v1230 fixes that problem.

Hi
Would anyone have a copy of this firmware?
The one in the link at the start seems to be corrupt, cause it just fails.
Cheers
