greetings one and all! ive been snooping around these forums for a while. decided to finally take the plunge and join the family! ;)
looking into getting a couple of boxes for friends of mine. theyre not very techy, so one i could set up and would pretty much take care of itself would be sweet.
digivox xl looks good, and its cheap! im hoping to hear back soon from mjh with the v1230 firmware (cheers bro!). Anyone any advice!?

Digivox xl works well & is easy to use. Latest version of firmware is v1240 available to download from Eamos... v1230 won't update codes anymore.

Hi, I installed the UK update and it worked. Didn't realise that I had to find a channel to update from. But turns out you're right. Just flicking and came across the one that did it. Actually figured it out before I read the post but still very helpful to know that's you need to find the correct channel.
Thanks for the info.

hi guys,
trying to fix a digi vox for an aunt of mine, i flashed an incorrect image and now i am getting CHdl and cannot do anything.
I have read this thread from start to finish and discovered i need to flash v 1220 back onto the box to sort this.
after that i can scan as is or put on the larger v1230 software on and scan using that.
My problem is this:-
I cannot find a link to download v1220 anywhere?
am i looking right?
does v1230 work in ireland after the latest attempts to thwart us on the 18-12-08?
thanks for all your help/suggestions/software lol
cheers
Mark ..
