Hey, CincyRob ? Please Let us know if they will exchange for Verbatim DVD +R's ??? If so i am taking back the ones i ordered and exchanging them for the +r's , that would be sweet if they did an even exchange on those! :) /Unjust

Wow - does the disc play?

Check and see if you can do a scan w/ the NEC. I'm thinking that maybe since this is an older LiteOn DVD-Rom might not be that accurate (?)

I'll have to scan one of the 16x Taiyo's and 1 of the 8x Taiyo's I did tonight and see how they compare.

i am always tempted to pull the trigger on great deals for blank media but i am buying Taiyo Yudens for about 24 cents a piece. and if its NOT broke why fix it iam going to stick with the TYs

i agree with you.. sometimes like the saying goes if it sounds to good to be true it is..
i havent had a problem with the hub printables 8x+r's i got from newegg.. gotta order me some more... i still have about 50 of the 16+r's i got from bestbuy for 12.99

I am not sure what you guy are complaining about? how is 95-98 quality scans are bad?

On the other hand I called my local Office Max and they told me that they can exchange them for Verbatims 16x DVD+R....

Are +R's BETTER? Should I exchange them?


Here is another scan of the Verb DVD-R from office max. Looks pretty good to me.

SlowSTi , yeah your scans are fine. so you can keep what you have or exchange them for the DVD plus Rs . as long as your DVD dash Rs are looking that good i wouldn't bother.

Unjust2u ,use Nero , go to tools then click Nero CD/DVD Speed Drive and then the quality tab and run a scan

Heres a test on a Fuji TY 8x DVD+R i just did . Some of those verb 16x DVD-R tests look better ...

well just got back from office max..they let me exchange the -r's for the +r's no questions asked. even the one pack i opend they let me trade for the +r's ...got me 150 of the good stuff 16x+r verbs.cant wait to burn baby burn....

no i havent had anyproblem with newegg. ive gotten my liteon burner there and my hubprintable verbs there... used them twice now and no problem..heck i ordered the OEM version of my burner and they sent me the retail version. no problem at all

im at work now when i get home i will scan those verbs i just got 16x+r... but i can tell you now looking at them they will code out as MCC004.. the good stuff

I use newegg - no problems. Never bought any media there though - sms or rima for that.
I just ordered a 2.0 usb pci card and an external burner. Had the pci card the next day and I'll have the burner tomorrow.

2 scans - 1 8x TY & 1 16x TY - both burned at 8x. Funny the 16x one has the jitter test?

the NEC drives DON'T support the Nero quality scans is all . the Lite-ON and BenQ drive will though

Just a little post on what I've found so far. I'm keeping these but time to just stickwith Ty's from now on. Took care of some X-mas gifts though to dwindle them down a little.I'll still buy my Verbs +R from Micro Center though never had a bad one from there unlike BB or OM. Chris

ill be leaveing work here in about 20 mins. get home and do a few burns on these 16+R verbs... which isnt something new just good ole reliable verbs not no MCC03GR20 junk..lol. sure glad the let metrade the -r's for the +r's im a real hap camper...150 16x+r's for 24 bucks..cant beat that with to bats...
