Is it that big?
What I would do is just get the MDF file and use winrar to get it into two .rar files and burn them on two dvds.

Won't work! You have to have the original disk in the drive to play it!

what about mounting the image on a virtual drive with alcohol 120%? unless you plan to use the discs elsewhere, it should work.
i think i may have to get alcohol 120% again, just for the virtual drive mounting.

Tried that, but that only works with ISO, not MDF! I appreciate the response though.

Ah, my bad, it didn't even occur to me that you didn't know about Alcohol 120%! :)
You should be able to mount an mdf with DAEMONTools if you make a .mds file to go along with it...

sammorris & abuzar1,
First off, I haven't got a clue! Second none of the stuff I looked at has anything to do with backing up a DVD, only CDs. This is on an over 5GB DVD. I'll have to look into whether you can burn a dual layer data DVD. The sand in the hourglass is just getting too low for me to take the time to learn all of this. I'll save that for you younger guys! LOL!!
Thanks for all of your help,
Russ

theonejrs, Agreed, Alcohol120% rial or purchaced and you will be able to rip with to MDF or ISO and play directly from it's own Virtual drive or any conpatable virtual Imaging drive (ie. Deamon Tools or Magisic ISO and others, even Nero Image Drive) Yo need to know the type of copy protection of your own origional DVD/CD game to encrypt it and rewrite to new DVD+RW +R DL may work for most but some do require the RW disc.
Nevertheless, loading form HDD is always gonna' be faster then any DVD drive you can play it from. This is tyhe bes method for fast load and play times. Especially if loading from a RAID 0 set.
Good Luck!

NuckNFuts,
I appreciate the input, but it's just more than I can take on right now. I had a small heart attack Dec 2 and a mild stroke three weeks ago. I have a hard enough time concentrating on the things I do know, as it is. It's just more than I want to take on right at the moment.

Russ

not sure abot the GO chip how do I find out?
Also I have the BFG 8800 GTS AND TEMPS show 165???
Looks like we're talking about the P5WDH not the DQ6.
I havn't used the quad core on my P5WDH, as it's still running with an E6600 on 2004 BIOS.
I'll check there's no issues with the latest version and then flash it later and see if there are any options that have appeared that aren't on my BIOS.
I can go with what I use, and offer those settings 'they won't be far off' but how stable it will be with a quad I'm not sure, I don't even know how the P5WDH performs well with a quad in OC terms at least.
I really don't want to move my quad as I've got really good flat contact at the moment.
Once I've had a chance to look I'll put some settings up for you.
That GPU temp seems very high, 8800GTS is a G92 chip I believe, so can't compare it to my card which the G90.
Is that youre idle temp 70'C, if so what full load temps are you getting?
I can't even get anywhere near 70'C under full load with it OC'd, what are you using to measure the temps, and what your case cooling like?
Do we have any other SP1M times to view, it's always good to see what everyone is getting out of their systems 12.704 my best so far on this rig, will try and bring that down today!

You try Everest it gives pretty good readings of all temps in computer.
NVmonitor should also give you accurate temps for your card.
Those settings I gave in earlier post will give you 3Ghz, you should manage that on max 1.35 v or lower, some people report getting that speed on stock, I've never managed that myself.

Have you tried Everest Corporate 4.20. I have build 1170 and it seems to read everything. You also may have to remove it and re-install it to pick up the sensor properly.

sammorris,
Then too, you have had some problems with both cards so maybe something is wrong with the card! I also upgraded my MB bios to the latest. It didn't read my video card before that!
Don't know what MB bios version you are running, but F10 for yours is the latest!

Russ

See my EDIT! I was reluctant to do that myself, but I finally decided that if it didn't work to my liking (which it does!) I could always go back to what I had! Put it on a floppy or USB drive and use the F8 in the setup and it's a snap! The newest one for yours sems to be for the same thing as my F-11 bios!

If there are issues with reading certain cards temp etc... you should feed this back to Lavalys so they can address it.
The support they give covers these problems, and by getting the feedback they at least will know what they need to fix.
It does however appear to work on Nvidia cards without an issue.

Just checked, this issue is addressed in build 1277
Download this, reboot and try again, 1 users describe mouse lag after install, but no one else confirms this, also UT is shown as less than 5% min no value between 1-4% is displayed, but at least the temps issue is sorted.

Link won't work for me now either 'strange'
Not sure about versions if works with, I only use Ultimate and haven't found a need to update yet as the Nvidia reports all seem to be in line with other tools reporting temps.

Heh, no good, it's a trial version... It does, however pick up one of my GPU's temps, so it looks like I'm good to go if I get the new version.
