Hey I have another video that I was hoping someone could get the .swf file for me out of the link? I would download RealPlayer but I would need the administrator password and such and it is easier just to ask someone on here. That is if no one minds helping me. Thank you!

Hey guys,

I've been trying to get a few videos off http://viscog.beckman.illinois.edu/ , particularly http://viscog.beckman.illinois.edu/flashmovie/15.php

Page Info leads to this file: http://viscog.beckman.illinois.edu/flashmovie/component.swf

which, when I go to, is just the copyright info, with no "Play" option when I right-click. When I download using Page Info, it's only a 33KB file that won't open except in TextEdit, which is just garbled crap. I tried using a Hex Decoder but none of the ones I found online seemed to work? Would love some help in figuring out how to download the embedded video.

If someone does figure it out-- can you tell me how you did it so I can download some other videos off that site too? Would GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks a lot!

The embed has the feature "autoplayNextClip" in it, so I nabbed the following two videos for you too, as well. Here are all three:

So help yourself and get Firefox, then get the add-on called DownloadHelper.
When you go to the page again, the DownloadHelper icon will animate. There is a small downward triangle next to the icon. Click on it and it should give you the option to download it.

I'm currently in the middle of a VERY hectic move and my computer has been unplugged for WEEKS now, never having a consistent internet connection. my online life has died down completely, but don't worry, i PROMISE i will come back SOON and fix EVERY ONE OF YOUR PROBLEMS, and fulfill EVERY ONE OF YOUR REQUESTS.

In the meantime, just sit tight and wait it out with me.

Cheers!

Thanks for the update and good luck with the move.
I think I'd rather have my eyes poked with needles than to move LOL

So I found a site that seems to be impossible to download. I have tried everyhing I know and can't get past main.swf.

Try this: http://www.patrontequila.com/#/tequilas/patron-silver/

Okay wow, I've been fighting with this thing for a couple of hours now..

http://www.ivanasantilli.net/
and the .swf container (the main page in any case)
http://www.ivanasantilli.net/index.swf

Suprisingly, before coming to this site, I already knew how to do most things.. I've tried the simple way of using Firebug to see any links, etc.. that's when I realised it's a .swf container. I think proceeded to Download the .swf and then opening it in Hex, but that didn't really help either.. So I'm kind of stuck, it looks to be an easy crack, but I'm sort of done for today, anyone willing to take a look should try it, it's a really simple site as there is only one .swf, and only audio.
GL HF, and thank you in advance.

Okay sorry Update: I got it..

SOLUTION
Dunno if you guys have seen this before, but the .swf container on the site had a "playlist.txt" that had the filename/location of the song being played..

(I found it using Firebug's Script reader/editor)

Firebug is a Firefox add-on. And a very useful one too.

Hi, I was wondering if I could get a little help. I tried the solution on the first page and I couldn't get it to work. I also tried the various Firefox extensions and I couldn't get them to work either.

My video is here:
http://www.vancouver2010.com/en/fun-zone/multimedia-gallery/video-gallery/-/51612/51618/imgIndex=1/imgid=55882/nextid=59608/qd87e1/video-gallery.html#content

It's the one that starts off with the sports dome. If anyone knows how I can download it I'd be gery greatful. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion but I must report that it did not work. I downloaded and installed Jaksta and started monitoring. I played the file and Jaksta did not recognize anything as being played. Am I doing something wrong?

Hey Dr Chud

Hmm, open Jaksta and click on start monitoring, then open your browser and page your URL of your vid, the vid should play and Jaksta will take a copy. If the vid is already playing, Jaksta wont capture it.

thanks

Yep, that's exactly what I did. I even closed all my other browser windows too. Nothing pops up in Jaksta. Weird. Tried it in IE, FireFox and Chrome.

I tried going to YouTube and Jaksta picked that one up right away but it won't pick up my link.

Hey Dr Chud

Did you reboot after installing ? Jaksta runs as a network service so maybe your computer is behind a proxy server or has a firewall rule enabled that blocks this type of traffic Also check the FAQ's http://www.jaksta.com/guide.htm

Drop an e-mail to the support crew at http://www.jaksta.com/contact-support.php they may be able to help you diagnose the problem. I have used them in the past and they were great.

good luck ?

Hey Gin21

MTV are using RTMPE with SWF verification, as such its illegal to bypass this copy protection. Applain did bypass it earlier this year and copped a lawsuit from Adobe for their trouble. There are other ways around this, Google or Bing are your friend.

Hulu is using the same system, hence why you cant download from there anymore
