i read this problem before,but the other problem includes that the same thing happen with FIFA 2007 too.
i tried my patched copy now and it worked fine,and i played online.
this seems to be a common problem with some people and i dont think that it is related to the FIFA 2007 save file on the memory card as you said because i have the FIFA 2007 file and it worked fine.

As stated earlier in this thread all 2008 EA Sports games can use the same DNA$ ID. I personally used xx xx 00 30 F9 to patch NCAA, and it works great.

I have try to patch Fifa 08 with Win Dip but when i select the image file and click Scan file it tells me : ERROR: Could not Open the Image File! Can someone tell me how to fix that?

Try moving the ISO to another location on your HD, then re-opening it. Make sure it is a valid image file that the program supports, ie. .bin/iso/img and if not, then use an application such as magic/ultra ISO which will let you convert it (not sure if re-naming it is possible, but it's worth a go)
