Can anyone shed some light for me please, my dbox wont turn on, the led is flashing when pressing the remote but nothing is coming up on the tv?!
Im only after getting it recently and was attempting to set it up?! Its hooked up correct as i was getting something earlier?!

Hi everyone
I lost the ability to watch most of the Sky movie channels tonight. They are still there but Virgin has passworded these channels and you need your PIN. Does anyone know if the PIN is setting something inside dbox or whether the entry of the PIN actually sends signal back to the Virgin broadcast server?
Also Sky Cinema One has ceased to broadcast. Seems the Virgin takeover of Telewest and NTL is having a bad effect on xbox technology.
Has anyone got a flowchart of the operation of the dbox?

hey dojjey u can't access these channels as u need too interact with virgin media and the dbox cnt do it im sure there will be a new flash out tht will bypass the pin services as u can do it with the ppv channels

hi dojjey i had the same problem as you cause sky have changed their movie format ie:sky comedy/classic/drama etc... i just rescaned my dbox i did the long scan not the fast one but that might still work the movie channels u can watch have the hid name at the end of thm ei:sky comedy hid etc etc...just have fun with your bouquet editor to get thm where you want em hope that helps

Thanks, I will try the long scan. Should I save the old bouquets file?
When I do the scan, what settings should I use apart from long scan? Do I want to create new bouquet file?

can someone point me in the direction of the new sportster 1.10 image and does anyone no if its anygood??
Oh and the problem with loosing the sky movies channels isnt sorted by doing a fast scan! just trying a long scan now.

dojjbe m8 just use update existing bouquet then just rearrange the channels to how you like them the rest of the settings just leave them as they normally are. daweorama m8 try this link thy might have the new sportster 1:10 image http://techno-source.co.uk/phpbb/index.php

Hi could someone please help me i am trying to download FlashFXP file, but can't seem to do.
I manage to get onto the following site.

when i select the Flash Fxp and then press the download button i get redirected to afterdwan site again.
If some can forward me the file i would appricate it or even a new link where i can download it from.

Can someone help?
I bought a Nokia dbox2 from Germany (from ebay). Unfortunately, the plug attached is a German 2-pronged one instead of a UK plug.
Can someone tell me what I do with it now? I bought an adaptor but no power getting to it at all. Is this possibly a voltage difference?
I'm so disappointed, it said it was fully UK configured and all I had to do was "plug and play".
Am I being dumb?
Suggestions welcome!

European voltage is the same as UK. Hack the 2 prong one off and fit a UK plug. No need for earth. Often Europe uses black and white cabling. Put the black to live and white to neutral and fit 3 amp fuse.
Give that a go...

Hi, i have recently bought a dbox2, and am having problems
First of all my settings will not save.
Everytime i start my dbox i have to goto the miscellaneous settings page and Change "Load SPTS at Boot" to OFF and restart the EMU, I have tryed saving the settings but no luck, also when I try to save my networking settings they dont save also, therefore I have no IP.
This may stop me from flashing my box, im not sure
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED

When you change and save settings, switch the box off at the main. Do not put the box into standby before you switch the power off. This should then save your new settings.

Sky has renamed the channels.
You need to rescan the box, then they appear as SkycomedyHid, SkyDramaHid, SkyFamilyHid etc in your bouquets
Worked for me...

PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HELP ME.
I have am from leicester evington area. I am trying to connect my laptop to dbox2 abut keep geting error message. such as below.
[R] Connection failed (Network is unreachable)
[R] Delaying for 120 seconds before reconnect attempt #3
[R] Connecting to 192.168.0.10 -> IP=192.168.0.10 PORT=21 (attempt # 3)
[R] Connection failed (Network is unreachable)

[R] Connecting to 192.168.0.10 -> IP=192.168.0.10 PORT=21 (attempt # 4)
I have got the latest Service and Bouquet file and FlashFXP program.
I have configured laptop same as advised on forumn page 6.
If there is anyone who can help me from leicestre i will pick you.
