-Why is the hell is the flip top shitty for me? It caused my swap magic dvd to scratch and my games to scratch.
Sorry to go off topic, but it seemed quite a few of you lads had a flip top case.-
First of all CHEAP DVDRs will scratch HELLAH EZ! Also when you load the disc into the fliptop make sure it is centered so it will spin on the spindle freely before closing the top, and NEVER open the fliptop when the drive is spinning or the lens will grind against the disc which is bad for the disc and the lens. And finally, if you are making labels for your backups using Neato or CDStomper, the extra weight from the label will often force the disc to grind against the lens. Once I stopped labeling my backups with the above methods they stopped scratching. Hope this helps!

It's funny. The cheap DVD-R's I just bought seem to work just fine.
For the file order, I simply took a screenshot of ISOBuster.

One thing I have been wondering... This process, that got it from about 4.3 gigs down to 1.8... Wonder what would happen if you tried this on Gran Turismo 4?

Hello, i also tried this with nfl street 2 , but the output is the same size as the original iso.. Will this still help slow loading times/no dvdloader or has it no effect ??

Actually, with NFL Street 2, I found a way when it first came out to deal with the slowdown. I offered help to somebody, but then supposedly a patch came out for it.
Nearly 99% of the time, slowdown = dummy files. My findings were that you have to dig deep into the folders after you bust the iso. I forgot which one but there is a folder in which a bunch of files are the exactly the same size each. That is a major indicator that those files are junk - important data will always have different sizes. Make those zero files (do a search on Call of Duty or any of my posts) and continue to make the game. After it's all done, the game should be more than 50% smaller (like less than 2 GB) and will have no slowdown. At least for me. . .

Yes, replace those files with Notepad files with the same name. You should lose 2 GB very quickly.

Been my experience that Maxells and Sonys seem to scratch less than say, Verbatims....dunno why it just IS...
Made backup of Mercenaries using the ISOBuster DVDGEN DVDDecrypter method, now is sticking on the parental warning screen...odd
Are there junk files in directory? If so what ones?

Okay first about scratching DVD's. What are you guys talking about? I have used almost every type of blank DVD-R media and have never had a problem with scratches. Not only that but scratches shouldn't affect anything like playback, music, video, etc... Unlees you are doing something terribly wrong to your media that is causing deep gouges in them, like stepping on them or using them for frisbees. I'm not saying that you have to treat your media like gold, but come on, how hard is it to take care of your stuff? Secondly, the SLUS number and where it goes: SLUS goes in the upper left corner and the number goes in the box right next to it (make sure you just put the numerics, DO NOT ADD THE DECIMAL) Third if your fliptop is shitty for you, you may wanna back track and see if you installed the flip top correctly. And last remember that this thread is about burning "Mercenaries", not Outlaw Golf, or NFL Street 2, make a new thread for those so that people here can get the help they need.

I agree, lets try not to assert our orders too quickly about what to post and not to post, mods will take care of that I'm sure.
As far as scratching goes, if I drop a Verbatim on my concrete floor the dirt will waste it on impact, DVDRs not as indestructable as you might think, the issue with scratching was mostly about lens scratching which can gouge a disc irrepairably, and screw up your lens. But anyways this thread is ABOUT MERCENARIES as you so authoratively pointed out, so I'll stop talking about scratching so you dont edit my post LOL.
So YTF is my burn stickin on the parental screen? Are you all using SWAP 2.0 or 3.0? I should be able to boot from Swap no? I mean I dont have to use cog or dvdloader or anything do I?
OK here we go another crack at coaster #3, and I'll try not to scratch it. Flamers suck!
