For anyone interested, there's a better program than epson print cd.
It's called "dvd cover gold" from www.cheapsharware.co.uk and works
with all epson and canon cd printers.
I use it with my R300 and it works fine.you can also print your dvd case
covers.

i am always suspicious when members drag up threads from months gone by,giving links to sites advertising products
i hope you are not affiliated with that site?...hehehe
i have never heard of that software to be honest,
and i find epsom print cd very easy to use.and i cant really say you could make a printing software any easier than epson's.
btw,you missed the "e" out the link :)

Well I also like the EPSON software but one issue I have is that the files are HUGE !! over 5mb each!
if I could find an equally easy to use program that applied a wee bit more compression I might switch (but only if it could interoperate with the ecs files the epson software makes)
I also really hate it when I get people e-mailing me because of this thread for a link to the software when the LINK is right there in the stinking thread they just read in order to find out I was someone to contact. JUST DOWNLOAD IT already :-) hehehe

1/ Sorry about the missing 'e'
2/ No, i am not affiliated to the site-i got the info off
another forum.
3/ If your happy with the epson print cd software thats fine, but there
are people who are not.
The software is free to try and only £7.99 to buy-thats cheaper
than a re-placement cd from epson.
There's no harm in trying new software-you never know, you might
like it!.

Just to confirm, too, that you DO NOT need printable cd media to use this software. It allows you to print on labels too. However, to printo on to the disc, you DO need a coated media.
PS - does anyone know of any proposed updates to the software? It's fairly limited now and it's getting a bit out of date...

I use it all the time..... and if it works..... don't fix it! but I agree with you ....... some improvements or just a new look to it may be nice. As far as functionality... it's just fine because I get great results!

I have an epson R220 and epsons software works fine for basic tasks. However, it lacks several options noted prior like lack of printing CD/DVD cases, and it was not designed to handle Audio CD's. I ran into this application a while back and it does everything that you could put on a wish list.
This company offers a trial period for this tool:

Quote: and it was not designed to handle Audio CD's.
Audio cds are identical in size, to a dvd. I print cds on my Epson, using "Print CD" software, without a problem.
So, explain what you mean please?

I think what he means is that Epson PrintCD does not have a case cover printing facility. If this is the case, then I should point out that the software is only provided with the printer in the first place because there are very few programs supporting Epson direct disc printing; whereas there are literally thousands of programs available for printing case covers. These are usually even included in the burning packages used to create the discs in the first place - such as Nero.

Furthermore, if what was actually meant by not handling Audio CDs was something to do with the content of the software, such as the clipart or graphical side to it, theyre there if you look.
The only other meaning to this i can come up with is, indeed, a missing facility, and this is a feature only usually needed for audio CD production: track listing (where tracks may be listed on the cd in an evenly spaced column). Other than the above stated, i can't think of anything else...

The software for the 200 is the same as the 220, 300, & the 340 since I've got all three. track listing (where tracks may be listed on the cd in an evenly spaced column).I sure would like to find an easy way to do this since I put the tracks on the CD's and my one finger typing takes quite a while. I have been putting the tracks on regular CD's putting them in a slim pack with paper towel on top for 10 mins. and taking them out and letting them air dry for 12 hours or so using the Ridisc ink . Been doing this for about 4 mos. or more and they are still holding up as good as the day I printed them . Which is amazing considering the kids and ridin around in the car.For case covers I've been using undercover XP 1.10 which is free or a donation if you prefer. Chris

easiest way is to do the track listing to the correct size in Nero, with the same background colour as your CD - then print screen, crop it to the size you want and save it as a jpeg. Import the jpeg to printcd and voila! i know its long winded but it works (unless your cd has a complex background. the other easiest way is to create an image at 1000x1000 pixels resolution in paint shop pro or similar, draw a perfect circle between all 4 edges and make your entire design in the circle and again import it to printcd as a saved jpeg.

I just got a error while trying to send it I guess it will have to send in smaller chuncks. so when I get a little more time I'll send it in so you can put the files on one disc to make a copy for your printer
