ok I went through every sony +r pack in comp,staples, and best buy all from taiwan not a "octa" in the bunch i assume it's a crap shoot to be so lucky to find any at those places? They are out there in those places though correct? But i did draw the attention of the six people looking at media trying to figure out what the hell i was looking for so that made it a little enjoyable "like I knew what I was doing" given the fact I was surrounded by memorex. How's the turnaround time if I order T.Y.'s online?

yeah, it's basically a crap shoot as you had mentioned....i've been in a very similar situation a few months ago when i took down the entire shelf @Staples looking to find the "hidden gem" that could possibly lie wayyyyyy in the back...people tend to start looking at ya funny when you got spindles and spindles of media all around you but you end up walking out of the store not purchasing a single pack. LOL
anyways, yeah...to save yourself the trouble of hunting down "hard to find" media, i would simply suggest the Verbatim "made in taiwan" media if you are in a bind and need good quality media immediately; IF you can wait for online retailers + shipping times, supermediastore.com, meritline.com, or rima.com sell Taiyo Yuden media competitively priced for your Japanese media needs :) the DVD-R is less expensive than the DVD+R counterparts, but that is up to you whether you prefer using DVD-R or DVD+R format :P
depending on where you are in the U.S., transit times will vary...i happen to live in CA, so i get my orders usually next day or 2 days after i order. most of the reputable online media retailers are located in CA, so i pay sales tax, but get my items practically overnight. :)

Hey there, has anyone had experience with the ebay seller proshopsmart? He's selling Taiyos that have been 'rejected' from an order since they were misprinted, but I have no idea if he's legit or not just from his listing. He provides a picture of the GG labeling, but I still want to confirm here.
