” isn't java based and CPU hogging isn't as dominant. it's called ” because that is the symbol for micro, and it's an extremely small program but very powerful.

I'd have to agree. ”torrent is a much better all around program. I got crap speeds with Azureus and it ate up almost a 100MB's of processor space. I have a GB of PC 2700 RAM, and I still notcied the lag when using Azureus. ”torrent is much better. The only advantage Azureus has is a safe peer plug in built in, but you can use Peer Guardian and get the same results. I don't worry as much for downloading PS2 games, but for movies, music, and TV shows, you should use Peer Guardian.
Get Peer Guardian 2 here: http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/

Does anyone know how to backup Substance on to one 4.7 g dvd, or is anyone working on it?

I don't think there is a way right now. It involves hex editing and a bunch of other tricky stuff just to get it onto two DVD-5's. It's not for noobs to attempt, hell I wouldn't attempt to back it up on two DVD-R's. This is one instance where it's good to have a modchip with Dual Layer support. I think KC will agree with me there. Cheers!

i know very few people who have burnt it to -5 and had it work without using at least 10 disks. for most of them it would of been cheaper to just buy the game.

didnt know you needed bandwith for online gaming.Luckily aol might be crap and get a slow connection but unlimited bandwidth so my Ł18.99 a month is pretty good then. Also cant wait for mgs3 subsistence and get a forum thread up and that and arrange to go online and well get tokijin to go snake and we hunt him down like a dog.

but you don't have any other traffic on your connection, my connection is pushing the full max of it's 6/1 MB in both directions, no room for PS2 communications.

how is the mgs3 online mode gonna work? i heard there was gonna be one person hiding (like snake or big boss) while the rest of the team must act as those soldiers that snake usually hides from, but it sounds kind of weird to have like 1 person vs. 9 other people.

I'm sure there will be multiple scenes and scenarios so multiple people can be hunter or hunted. i would hope each boss (well except Sorrow) will have a part in online play.

Heres evrything that subsistence will offer
In terms of general features, Subsistence Online will feature:
Many Players: Eight, actually.
Sneaking Missions: One player takes the part of Snake and the other players become enemy soldiers. Think of this as something like Splinter Cell's Spies vs. Mercs modes.
Team Deathmatch: Self descriptive mode with adjustable rules.
Deathmatch: Self descriptive mode with adjustable rules.
Capture Missions: "Players are divided into teams to capture a frog piggy bank and deliver it back to their base." We didn't see this, but it sounds suspiciously like Steal the Bacon or One Flag CTF.
Rescue Mission: "Teams will be divided into two with one side being the defender of the cargo piggy bank while the other team will try to destroy it." Read: Assault.
More generally, Subsistence will feature:
Duel Mode: Battle any boss from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
Snake vs. Monkey: Snake and the monkeys from Ape Escape in more wacky stages.
Demo Theater: A Metal Gear film created by splicing cinematic sequences from Snake Eater together. It's three and a half hours long!
O.G. Gearing: Fully playable MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
PSP Connectivity: View MGS3: Subsistence photos in 3D on the PSP system with the help of a copy of AC!D 2.
Hope this helps anybody actually buy the game.

What so you can actually Play Metal Gear Solid 2 full on the game?
But back on the Topic, Metal Gear Solid Substance 2 is really not that hard to rip, It's just the programs that are the pain in the a$$. You can't find the full version of WinHEX and the evaulation doesnt let you save files over 200kb, so you have to use another hex program, but it doesnt really have the same buttons as winHEX and on the guide so you get confused. If anyone can Share WinHEX Full version with us, please do. And If theres any PAL Version guide out there, please share also
PS2 Slimline + Swap Magic + Fan
PS3 60gb Version 1.90
PSP 3.52 M33 EUR Black Version + Logitech Hard Case + Logitech 3 Sound Speakers + 2gb Sony Memory Stick
Nintendo Wii + 3 Wii&Nunchuck Controllers
NDS Original + M3 Simply + 1gb Kingston MicroSD
NDS Lite + M3 Simply + 2gb Sandisk MicroSD

Any Computer Forensics and Data Recovery Software will have a full version of WinHEX in it if you already have one of those, if not be creative, your already downloading torrents, use your imagination.

i dont see why people want mgs2 substance on 2 discs it doesnt seem right just wait for swap magic to support dl backups thats what im doing and plus i doubt any people will have a successful backup and it wastes your time and money.

With the PS3 coming out at the end of the year, I doubt there will be DL support in the works for Swap Magic. There's always modchip, though I believe you're in the UK, so you may be limited there.

people put it on 2 disks because allot of the older chips will not boot a backed up dual layer disk even with the Toxic patch applied. the only way to play the substance game then is to rip it to two disks.
