lol, I guess if they had hired people who were half as good as the Japanese vocals it would've been ok... oh well, going a bit sidetracked so I'm going to stop now :)

kanae, i can help ya out :) what version of swap magic are you using, do you have a slid card, what version ps2, have you been using swap magic before or is this your first time? If first time, then are you sure you set your ps2 up right to use swap magic.

That's the swap magics I have, and the version of PS2 I have is SCPH-70012 (slim case)

So if it's the swap magic I guess I'll just have to go get a new one other than that I'm pretty screwed on playing the game at the moment.

if you have that why don't you try cogswap or get a new version of swap magic from the net, since you have an older version you can run backup copies and don't have to buy a new set

Well I took it in to the shop and I tried it on a "Modded" PS2 and it works just fine; however, on my PS2 with the swap disc it doesn't work. So I'm either guessing my PS2 isn't reading it or the swap disc version is too old. But, I don't want to get a new version and then find out that it won't work either. Can someone tell me what the dealio is?

Ah, I might be mistaken but i am pretty sure you need swap magic 3.3 for SCPH-70000+ (slim ps2). And from the sounds of it you have never gotten swap magic to work or have used it before. Seems like you only have the discs and nothing else (correct me if i am wrong..don't konw how or where you got your swap magic). For using the ps2 slim, I recommend getting the swap magic flip top case and installing it. Instructions here: http://www.swapmagic3.com/Flip_Top_7000X_Install.htm

So I would just buy the new swap magic 3.3 and the flip top together somewhere. Hope that helps you out man!

I haven't just yet, I kinda don't know what cogswap is, but I'll try to look into it. Like I said, I don't know if I want to get a new version of Swap Disc and find out it doesn't work as well.

I have a flip top case already so yeah.

Also I've used the Swap Magic before with Naruto Narutomate Hero 2 and 3

Including a back-up of Kingdom Hearts Final-Mix.

So it seems that my swap disc is working fine, since Naruto 3 came out not too long ago.

Ah i noticed you said your using a backup-copied version of Berserk :/ Try using Alcohol 120% rather than Nero, and are you using the same type of DVDs everytime? I have found Philips to be the best to use for my ISOs. Sony's blank DVDs aren't too good to use to burn an ISO onto. You also said other games like naruto are working on it. Are the Naruto's legit copys or backups. You did say KH-final remix did work on it so, I am assuming its either the DVDs your using, the program your using to burn the iso, or the ISO file itself, because your ps2 is setup well to read backups. The reason it probably read on the other modded ps2 is because that mod had wider selection of files it could read so that being said, I think its just your DVDs or burning program/ program settings. I bought an import of Berserk and I use swap magic perfectly fine everytime, so I know if you stick with it you'll be playing it soon enough :) I do suggest you buy an import though (support Sammy!).

Xbox-------------- Duo X2
PC---------------- Core 2 Duo e6850, 9800gtx, 4gig ddr2-8500, 780i Vista 64-bit

Hah ya man. And the least they can do (which is all i want them to do) is translate/release it over with the japanese dialouge, but with subtitles. I hate english on anime and anime games. Takes away from the true perspective and feeling. Its just sad that some of the best of the best anime series that are made into the good games are not popular in the states so companies don't want to (and smart of them) re release product, advertise, edit, format, and spend alot of money for production. etc.

You a berserk fan/ have you seen it or read it? I never saw intial d so of course im not a fan nor hater, but it didn't catch my attention. Coming from a berserk, lain, evangelion, R.O.D, ghost in the shell, texhnolyze view point, would i like it at all?

If you are into those kind of anime (and btw, we are way off topic now), I doubt you'll like Initial D, unless you are really into cars (it's all about mountain racing and drifting)

And since I'm way off topic here, I'm going to stop posting before the mod picks a bone with me :)

No the Berserk I have is an official game, I've tried downloading the game and burning it SEVERAL times and it didn't work either. The Naruto games I have are also official, just the Kingdom Hearts Final-Mix was a burned copy from a download. All the games work it's just Berserk that won't.
