No rebuilding needed for Kingdom hearts II,
I used DVD Decrypter to read and write,
Burned at 4x on Verbatim +r media with swap magic 3.6.
there are no tricks to getting this one to work I recommend,
1)-use good media burn at 1/2 the maximum speed,
2)-use DVD Decrypter for the read and the burn.

Internal errors means the laser or anything inside the unit itself. That's what internal means.

I mean how do you fix internal errors?
I followed your guide before but I only cleaned dirt,
but I didnt clean the laser..

Well then clean the laser, follow my guide exactly on how to clean the laser. If this still fails, then take to a local repair shop, he will either re-align it or replace the laser diode.

hmm I dont think its an error, may I know what chips are compatible with my v5/v6 ps2 is the matrix one compatible which ones are ?

or make sure you arent using the cd version of swap magic when you should be using the dvd version...i wasted 3 hours of my life trying to figure out why my backups didnt boot when i decided to check the disks...turns out i was using the cd version instead of the dvd version...

Btw, a modchip will probably not fix your errors. It sounds to me like it is an internal error, especially if Swap Magic won't even boot as it is a pressed disc and should load no problem. Your backup won't run either, it is most likely a laser problem, take it to a local store for a proffesional opinion before spending money on a modchip for no reason.

I have a problem with this game as well. I am using Maxell DVD-R and I am copying the ps2 games with DVDDecrypter and burning with Alcohol 120% at 4x (which worked fine with madden 06). I use MagicSwap like normal with my flip-top and I hit "X" at the Load Program screen and it goes black, but then I start hearding noises like thumping coming form the disk. I have a clear case and the disk is spinning fine. Anyone know why it wont load? Should I try burning at 2.4x? Thanks ahead of the time for the help!

Try different media. Do other games run for you?
Read the - Games stuttering and skipping or just not booting up at all?

I will check that link out thanks. Also other games do load for me on Maxell media i am using. Could it be that some games are pickier than other? I play Madden 06 perfectly fine on maxell media. Thanks!

Evllpanda why the heck you posting YOUR problems on my topic, go make a new one... anyways Iam gonna try clean the laser and I know It wont help a bit lol, Anyways I will try fix it today, Isoprpanol alcohol ok for the laser???

I got the game to work 1 problem though i did 2 disc and one of them is a BIT slow and the other is slow how do i make the games run faster thanks :D :D :D

R u hearing any clicking sounds when u do the switch and put the back up in? I was hearing those sounds and just loosened up the screws on the case and now everything is fine...that and i bought verbatim 4x -R and i dont have the not a valid PS2 disc. Also I have noticed with Swap Magic if you try loading and on the first try it doesnt load and says not valid ps2 disc. You have to restart the ps2 and let swap magic boot up again or you will get the error on any backup you try to boot. :)

I get the sickening feeling this has been answered already, but searching the forums didn't help me...
Has anyone else here ran into this issue where your Kingdom Hearts 2 backup successfully loads with Swap Magic 3 using the slide card, but does not respond to your controller whatsoever when it gets to the title screen? I've burned my .ISO file to a Teon DVD+R 8x CD first with 4x and Alcohol 120%, then with 1x with DVD Decrypter and it generates the same problem with both attempts, though it loads fine.

Yeah its sucessful for me, maybe your pad is broken, I followed Mik3h's cool guide, it made my games load faster, also I rebulit it but I dont think its needed but t he main point is, it worked, so anyways check your pad or use a verbatim disk :)

Well, that whole not responding problem turned out to be a problem with the type of controller. Apparently, it didn't like my Madcatz controller at all, but I switched that with my friend's Sony DualShock 2 controller and it worked fine. Kinda funny....oh well
